Tokyo Sushi Taipan Outlet — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

First time eating at this restaurant, I came at lunch hours during the weekends, there was nobody dining there which seems kinda sus.

Nevertheless, we ordered their curry katsu don and yakiniku ju, and some sushi along. The taste, was surprisingly delicious and way out of our expectation. Haven't had a good curry in a while. Definitely recommend to try here, food price is very reasonable as well! Serving proportions are plenty, even for a big man like myself.

I'm someone who never posts good review, and more often bad reviews, but this restaurant is a solid recommendation.

Edit: heard from the owner that they recently change management and there is a new menu. Might be why the curry and dishes that was served looks different than some of the google reviews posted...

There are three bad thing about the restaurant and one good thing.

Bad thing: Slow to serve, when I walk in, there was no one in the restaurant and until the food arrived there was no other customer as well, no reason to take more than 8 minute to serve food

Bad music taste, they are using Korean music in a literal Japanese theme restaurant, although after like 30 minute they finally swap to Japanese music, it is still pretty horrible.

Bad food presentation, my sister can make a better sushi presentation than what this restaurant can offer. The spoon and fork they provided is especially peculiar, I never been to a Japanese restaurant with such a long spoon and fork.

Food is only decent enough for the price point, service is non existent so you have to get up from your table to go to the counter for any requests. Expect to wait upwards of 30 minutes for your food. Kitchen is super slow.

Hot green tea is not hot. Salmon sashimi served on ice “cubes” you’d expect to see see in your glass of teh ais.

Five star reviews given here are in exchange for free ice cream so proceed with caution. At the end though, waiter decided to kindly serve ice cream instead of having to once again go and ask for it at the counter.

You’re better off elsewhere with other sushi joints in Taipan and in Subang unless they buck up. Definitely do not attempt on a busy day if they cannot manage with an...
