I've visited this café a few times, ordering the same drink—priced between €5 and €6—and was surprised to receive something noticeably different each time, both in quality and portion size. On one occasion, we decided to sit in and have a chat with the owner, mentioning that we might order something else later. To our surprise, the drink we received was about one-third the size of what we'd previously gotten for take-away, served in a much smaller cup. It felt intentional, as if they reduced the portion just because we said we might order more—which comes across as quite dishonest.

When we politely pointed this out, the response was dismissive—something along the lines of, “that’s why you try new things”.

The staff seem inexperienced, and customer service is virtually non-existent. You really notice it when trying to pay—being rudely ignored for 15 minutes while they focus only on taking new orders.

Sadly, this place left us feeling more scammed...

I must admit that I have seen something like this for the first time in my life. The service is super-sympathetic, the food delicious. But after spending a few minutes there, we realised that right next to the food bar... was based a nail salon. We were eating breakfast and saw bare legs sticking out from under the curtain. Someone was having a pedicure done. The water from the bowl after the treatment was poured into the café toilet. I had hoped for another delicious breakfast and I very much regret that we will not be going back there again. From the thought of the dust from someone's nails flying around the food room, we were completely discouraged. It is a pity that it is organised...

The owner, Trish is from Melbourne, via Dubai so the service and the coffee is excellent. Good coffee and almond croissant but the Chai, with almond milk option, which is a plus, was not as good as the Australian Chai brand, Prana. Trish had coffee shops in Melbournes' CBD and Mount Waverley so is now helping educate this region in serving coffee afficionados. Throughout our European travels it has been disappointing to see Starbucks opening in City Centres, which is worldwide consistent, but bland. Independent places like this, now open for 1 year, deserve regular clients. Our Aussie friends, arriving here in the next few weeks, will...

If you are anywhere in a 20km radius of Marsaskala and love a good specialty coffee, definitely pay this place a visit! The owner of this coffee shop is a true coffee enthusiast from Australia and the barista we met today is a super friendly guy with whom I had a nice chat about all things coffee related. Besides doing the top notch espresso drinks with the loveliest latte art, they also do filtered coffee, each month trying out different beans. On top of all of this they serve the best pistacio - apricot cookies I've ever eaten, amazing croissants and more!
