I hate giving bad reviews but I'm factual and I do so to prevent others having similar pitfalls to my own experience. This is one very horrible and unpleasant experience we don't wish unto anyone, nor to experience again ourselves.
We visited Roti restaurant two days ago. We got to the restaurant and immediately realised that the place was extremely hot. It is just one small room really with 3 or 4 tables and the front door was open letting the hit air in. One would expect that the place would be kept shut and cool to attract clients to enter and stay rather than make people consider leaving. But no, the stingy owners prefer to keep the Air Conditioning switched off to the detriment of their patrons.
The day also happened to be a heatwave day with temperatures hovering around the 40⁰C so you can imagine that we were seeking a comfortably cool ambiance to dine in. We could have walked out as soon as we entered and realised that the place was stifling hot but we asked the owners if they would kindly switch on the AC advising them that we would stay only if the Air Conditioning would be on as it would make us feel miserable. They said they would switch it on. We chose this restaurant because being a small space, we imagined that the AC would be very effective according us a pleasant setting for our meal; sadly it was not to be.
After about 10mins, they brought out a fan but the temperature in the restaurant which is all of one very small room with three or four tables remained very hot. We decided to wait anyway and placed our order.
We were assured that the temperature would go down but it did not, making our lunch a miserable experience. We did bring this to the attention if the management a number of times but the only thing they did was to bring the fan closer. We were seated right underneath the AC unit and we could see that the mode had not changed throughout and that the appliance was on fan mode. Despite explaining to the owners that we were not comfortable, the situation persisted but, not wanting to create a scene, we opted to stay in the hope that the ambiance would become pleasant. Unfortunately however, it came to a point that it was so hot, that we had to cut our lunch short and leave.
It was pretty obvious that the owners were only interested in our custom and making money but nothing else, fooling us into thinking that they had switched the unit to cooling whereas they kept it on fan mode and this ruined our lunch. Sad to say that we dine out at various Indian and other ethnic restaurants and this is the worst treatment we ever got.
Definitely we cannot recommend Roti restaurant after such a horrible experience. There are many other good Indian and ethnic...
Read moreSlightly above average Indian restaurant with good starters. The main dishes were slightly all the same, however it was very edible and the service and the staff were very attentive. The Restaurant situated in a square which is called the playground where there is a children’s playground right in front of it. They don’t serve Coca-Cola here only Pepsi. Their Naan-breads are thin but quite tasty. The Ajaiwn prawns are actually deep fried with chickpea flour (spicy) and very tasty. They have 1 x small toilet inside the restaurant, however it is not wheelchair accessible. The main restaurant has 50% of its seating inside and outside and both are wheelchair accessible. Vegans can get a good meal here. Gluten-free diners can also get a good meal here. The prices are fair to moderate & five of us ate Starters and main course + desserts with two rounds of Soft drinks For €150...
Read moreJust came back from the Resturant , one of the worst and horrible services I’ve had in years . I particularly ask for non-spicy food yet when my order came through the biryani was not really a Briyani It was just a bowl of mushy rice with the chicken in it. I just had one or two grains of rice and over boiling, hot and spicy I asked for non-spicy and she keeps saying and keep telling me it’s not spicy, the waitress in the restaurant just keep arguing with me. When I tried to explain her, instead of listening to me, she kept arguing with me one of the most unfriendliest waitress I’ve come across I didn’t even touch my Food.. I ate my non-bread only. The food was so spicy that I’ve finished my 750 ML bottle of water.. I walked away from the restaurant by paying €30 without eating it. I will not recommend this place to anyone . The food was...
