Capo rosso — Restaurant in Marsaxlokk

Our experience at Capo Rosso for lunch at Marsaxlokk today was absolutely awful. The ‘fresh’ fish was so highly seasoned it made me physically ill, my husband didn’t eat his luckily. We gave them feedback and the three team members including the Manager behind the counter laughed. Never encountered such rude customer service. Feedback is invaluable to any business but they must be surviving on unsuspecting tourists. Drinks are overpriced and they advised that it is not illegal not to have a drinks list or price list for the drinks. We were not the only ones to complain, we heard other complaints from locals but it was too late as we had ordered and always willing to form our own opinion. Terrible experience, the fish was lukewarm, the potatoes were cold ! On top of that, compared to ALL other restaurants, the fish was 30% more expensive !

We went here because my wife loves spaghetti vongole and the picture here (provided by management) looked very good. So sea bass couldn’t be bad right ? Most people on TripAdvisor left good points…. WRONG!

Should have checked the google reviews this time, there the “restaurant” only scored 2,3/5 with many remarking that the food took forever and arrived cold or not at all.

So do all of us a favor and DO NOT GO THERE! Take any of the others, the one next door seemed very good and received much more points, Or go to Johann or Liska.

Mediocre restaurant. In the beginning me and my partner felt pressured by the waiter to see the menu and take a table(our fall we didn't double check reviews) The table wasn't even clean when we sat , so I went to the toilet. My nightmare started watching this dirty toilet, and immediately I wanted to cancel the order. They didn't leave me, because it was already cooking. My fish was not well cooked, the fried potatoes felt old and soggy, and the salad was dry. Basically I just eat the fish. My partner had a worse problem with his burger. We ask for a bill and explain our disappointment about our food,etc. They behave so disrespectfully and zero professionals, to make at least a discount or solution.
