Shockingly bad restaurant! Staff were chaotically running around, service was appalling and food was poorly cooked. All this for extortionately high prices! Go anywhere else but here if you want a chance at having a nice meal.
I was a tourist visiting the country and made a choice based on how busy the restaurant was. This was a big mistake! This has got to be the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The staff were rude, knew very little about what food they were handing to you and to get anything at all you had to remind and ask anyone running by, repeatedly. It took about 45 minutes for the drinks even though we could see them sitting on the bar for 10 of those minutes. The mains took over one and half hours to start coming out and the last one turned up after everyone else on eth table had finished theirs. It was not what was ordered or even warm which and the oil/butter on the food had solidified. I do not know how this restaurants rating is 3.7 stars unless they are paying people...
Read moreMy recent experience at Rizzu Marsaxlokk was absolutely dreadful. When my group decided to only have drinks, the waiter rudely informed us that we couldn’t stay long. This unwelcoming attitude was shocking, especially for a place that claims to offer a pleasant dining experience.
My first visit to this establishment was on Father’s Day, and it was pure chaos. The buffet, which should have been a highlight, was a massive letdown. The food was incredibly basic, lacking any special touches or flavors that would justify the price or hype.
To make matters worse, the hygiene of the outside space was appalling. It was filled with flies, making it unbearable to sit there. It seemed as if there had been garbage leaking all over before our visit. The chairs, which were supposed to be white, were basically black due to the lack of cleanliness. It’s safe to say Rizzu Marsaxlokk won’t be seeing me again. Save your time and money—there are far better...
Read moreWe eat here yesterday and i must say we were a bit disappointed. As starters we took the polpetti neonato and the salmon tartar which were quite good but when it comes to the mains we were disapointed especially with the mixed fish platter. 2/4 pieces of fish were uneatable cause they were extremly small and full of bones. The frutti di mare pasta was also tasteless for the €19 you pay this is not worth it. To be honest when we spoke to the waiter first he said that we should always opt for a whole fish not the platter (which is nonsense since its on the menu it should be good). Them he offered me to bring me another piece of tuna and descaled the other fish which was not descaled at all cause it was still uneatable. Prices are extremly expensive for the quality of food, example 1 pagell costed €35 which is too much considering that even the vegtables served were not good! If you want good food just...
