The Exiles Beach Club — Restaurant in Sliema

Not a pleasant place to sunbath at. We only went there because of the sun beds and umbrellas. We paid 24 euros and at 5pm we were told we need to leave the sun beds not because they are closing but because they are having an event. We were there for less than 3hrs and nobody told us there will be an event and we need to vacate the sun beds 2/3hrs later. Everyone was annoyed with the club as they did not make us aware prior paying that we can only stay until 5pm. Previous days was fine as they are open till quite late.

The umbrellas that come up with the sun-beds weren’t properly installed and they kept flying into peoples faces…very disappointing as people could have got hurt.

All they do is trying to take your money.

We had a booking for 9 people at 12.30pm It took approximately 30 minutes for our food order to be taken. When the food eventually did start appearing around 2.30pm the food all came out staggered at separate times, my food was not cooked how I asked for it and it had to be sent back. They forgot one meal for one of our party. By the time my food came back and the missing meal was served, everyone else had finished theirs. My food was inedible - the chicken was barely cooked, I asked for it well done and the chicken was nothing but gristle and fat. Fed up, I bypassed dessert (and I usually have one!) and went to McDonald's.

Very bad service. Got a table for 2 and we didn't get the menu at first. My friend tried to call the waiter a couple of times unsuccessfully. We decided to take the menu on our own and waited a looooong time to get our order which never happened. We called on the waiter who said that the other waitress had to take our order. Two girls came in after us and got their order after 5 minutes, from the waitress who supposedly had to take our order first. That was the last straw, after 30 minutes we just went away.
