Ordered "to go". The service was friendly and nice but the food was quite average, really small portions... The shrimp, fish, etc of the fisherman soup were teeny tiny small pieces of what could only be frozen seafood. It tasted alright but the pieces were chewy and dry. The creole chicken was dry also, really small portions too. Disappointing overall... It was edible but I wouldn't go so far as saying it was "good". We've tried way much better options here in Mauritius. Maybe better "eat-in" but I'm not trying it again... Anyway, the rating of the restaurant is, for me, always based FIRST on the food so, unfortunately, a 2 stars...

As per the owner's own words, it takes time to cook good food. So the key thing to have when visiting this resto is lots of patience as the service is quite slow. I tried the so famous and expensive Grilled Lobster with Garlic Butter and was quite disappointed. The Lobster was over cooked and pale in taste. However, I had one of the best crab soups and the octopus curry served with rice & farata was sublime. And the best way to end your visit is by trying either the caramelised pineapple or banana which is served with a flaming rhum along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The flaming rhum is optional but it does enhance...

A very pleasant surprise to find this almost roadside little restaurant with the most delicious meals from a varied menu, a real cut above the rest! Best dishes that we have tasted in the area for years!! We have been there on two consecutive evenings and plan to again! The starters we tried were straight off the fire and very tasty. Variety of seafood, poultry and meat dishes available and all very reasonably priced. A great culinary discovery with friendly service. Unpretentious, but the most delicious meals and their home spiced infused rum shot taster is a sweet delight to round off these...

I was actually very pleasantly surprised. The portions were reasonable, the food tasty and the service very pleasant. While the place is not in what I would call an ideal setting (on the main road into Flic en Flac) this somehow did not detract from the ambience and the popularity of the venue. All in all a very pleasant evening, with a very pleasant host. I will definitely be visiting again.

A nice little restaurant. My husband had the beef curry with rice and I had the fried noodle special which had homemade egg noodles on top of the shrimp and chicken fried noodles. Big portions and food was very tasty. The white wine was good and the prices were reasonable. The kind gentleman even gave us a free and very tasty after-dinner digestif!
