Restaurant Le Bois Noir Number 1 — Restaurant in Flic en Flac

Honest don’t understand how this place get such a high rating… the so-called fresh juice are clearly from powdered concentrate, the food are THE FAKEST CHINESE I ever had…even worse feeling, when the lady came to take us orders she recommended the “seafood platter” and saying that the price depends on the weight, and claiming there’s 50% off all the “special menu on the board”, and guess what happened? With the seafood platter on the menu written clearly only few thousands (2,000-3,000 MUR), she came back after the weighting and gave us a price of 12.000!!! And this is already half-priced from 35,000!!!!! Absolutely terrible...

The grilled fish was ok, not exceptional. However, the price of fish depends on its weight. This would have been fine as well, as my fish was definitely under 500 grams, which is their unit price. Then they claim that my fish weighs 800 grams. No way! I know what I am talking about as I often buy and cook fish. Then they overprice the beer as well.

I ended up paying twice what I was expecting. I didn’t argue but I hope this review helps some other travelers in saving themselves...
