Comlone restaurant — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

Good food at local prices.

I've been to several Comlone restaurants over the years and it's always been good. By good I mean food is tasty, served relatively quickly (although we went on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy, if you go on Friday/Saturday it's busy) and it's priced for the locals (8 of us ate a big dinner at Comlone for the same price as 4 of us had breakfast at a tourist cafe).

The Comlone in Port Louis has a car park which makes parking easier and there are quite a few parking spots in the surrounding streets.

The sizzling chicken is excellent, chicken chop suey and aigre-doux fish (sweet and sour) are also good. Get a side of bread to mop...

Waited for 40mins to get the starters and 1h30 min to get ONE main dish which was supposed to come with bread but they told us they didn't have bread anymore and when we asked if we could have rice as replacement they told us that we need to buy it additionally. We also ordered sizzling and they told us they didn't have plates to serve it anymore. The atmosphere was really bad, it was so noisy i couldn't even hear what the person next to me was saying. The customer service is very bad. Did a booking 3 days prior. Upon reaching there, the person at the reception told us there were no bookings under our name. He was quite rude and even after telling him it was for a birthday party, he clearly denied it. We had to return from there very dissatisfied. Never going there again.
