Marina Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

It is a nice place to be with friends and collegues for late night or after office hours, but it is not the place you really have to be for events, basically we had a bad experience when I went there with some collegues, we ordered food and drinks in bulk, when the invoice came, we were onguard with the amount of that we needed to pay, they charged us more from what we initially ordered, so please look and remember the menu you ordered as this seems to be common there. The atmosphere is sad, the music is sad, the place is nice though, away from the hustle of the city and cozy but really limited in space, so when they say there will be live events, so don't expect much of live and events , it will be quite restricted to the place and seats. But for a get together, it will be a nice try for you, just the order of foods and drinks, so please be careful. Also, stick to only on waiter or waitress as perhaps the confusion of the menu is from there. The food is ok not wow, but the signature pizza was nice, low rating of 6/10 but it was nice, and yes you have a happy hour event where you can take advantage of for low prices and buy one get one free drinks... Had a really bad experience there.

Went there with a friend and ordered a chicken filet however I got a chicken burger. When I told a waiter, he took it away and then another personnel came back with the same plate and argued that it is what I really ordered and that it was my mistake and did not communicate well.

Despite being annoyed, I took the burger as I did not wanted to ruin the night. However they later try to compensate by offering me with a free drink.

However the burger was tasteless, the chicken patty seems to be the processed one we get in supermarket and the bun was soggy due to the veggies they added inside. Also, my friend ordered a pizza which the crust was very chewy.

Just as I thought that the night could not be worst, when we asked for the bill we had to wait for about 10min. And that too they came with the wrong bill. When we raise the issue to a waiter, an another personnel came from behind and snatched the bill from us without even apologizing.

We finally paid and was about to leave when a personnel had the audacity to tell me that I was unlucky today!!!

The only good thing was the atmosphere and the music. Never gonna go...

We had a very disappointing experience and felt taken advantage of. We visited with work colleagues and had made a reservation for 10 people. Unfortunately, two of our group couldn’t make it due to illness, so only eight of us attended. The menu was supposed to be a buffet at a fixed price per person, but instead, they decided to serve the food at the table.

When it came time to settle the bill, they insisted on charging us for all 10 people, including the two who weren’t present. Despite not being informed of this policy in advance and no deposit being taken, we agreed to pay in good faith — but simply asked if we could take the leftover food that was already on the table. They refused.

We explained that it seemed unfair to charge for no-shows without any prior notice or agreement, especially when the food was already paid for. To make matters worse, the bill included an extra Mojito we didn’t order. They did correct it when we pointed it out, but the overall attitude felt purely money-driven and lacking in good faith.
