Feb24- We spent (equivalent) £37. Creole traditional cooking it seemed and great to see locals eating here. Non fussy, straightforward and prepared to order. Mainly fish/meat. Didn't see a lot vegetarian. We had one set menu and one sizzling main. 2 drinks. Food is all sweet, sugar is local, and the banana flambé delicious had rum, another local product, plentiful. Ordered salmon, beef curry, salad and a seafood starter. Cost me about 1640 rupees. Got charged an extra 40 rupees to take out. Overall small portions. Salmon - no taste. Poor good quality seasoning but palatable. Avocado salad - acceptable. Looked a bit of a mess. The seafood starter was OK but was more salad than seafood. Curry - worst food we've had in mauritius. The food had clearly just been microwaved. The potatoes were still not cooked. The beef was pretty tasteless. Overall a nasty meal and definitely not worth the effort. Honestly the best place we ate in Pereybere.

I must mention that we cannot compare very much, as in the 7 days we stayed only 3 restaurants were open at dinner time (6-7 pm).

We dined here and had a great meal. Prices are good and the portions are more than enough. Would highly recomment the tuna with mustard sauce.
