I have visited Max Mamma Mia on three occasions, and it has become my go-to destination whenever I crave Italian cuisine. The food is consistently delicious, capturing the authentic flavors of Italy. The ambiance is charmingly rustic, evoking the warmth of a traditional Italian setting while still maintaining a cozy, homely atmosphere. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Every member of the team, without exception, is remarkably humble and welcoming. I even had the pleasure of speaking with some of the kitchen staff, who were not only kind but also clearly passionate about their craft—truly embodying the phrase *“cooked with love.”* The pricing is very reasonable considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. The ambiance, especially in the evening, is serene and relaxing—tucked away from the crowds and the beachfront, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful meal. **Highly recommended.**

Our favorite pizza in the north. We’re not fans of the Napoli pizza style and like our pizzas with very thin crust. The dough is really good, toppings interesting (my god the tuna pizza is a killer!). Warm and friendly service from all staff and owner. Every time we’re in the north we make it a habit to dine in and also take away home cause their pizzas are too good 😆 The place itself is homy and cozy. Very far away from the posh style, and this is exactly how we like it! Without any pretentious atmosphere. To those writing negative reviews about how the place looks - Yes there is a road going almost inside the resto and we thought it was so cool and unique. This is Mauritius, you work with what you get. If you guys want a posh resto, stay in your hotel! We prefer 7000 times to go to a place because of the great food than how the place looks.

Went there on a Friday night, and it was not the best experience for me and my friends.

I ordered a ( I forgot the name) but basically a smoked marlin & blue cheese tagliatelle. While the sauce and the homemade pasta were excellent, I could not find pieces of smoked marlin. We were 4 to look for it, and couldn’t find it. I asked the waiter to check and the cook came back and was kind of really mad that I told him I couldn’t find any smoked marlin in my dish. I didn’t like the way he spoke to me, he was very rude. I am a customer and you should value my opinion. He did come back and added more smoked marlin to my dish, but the damage was done.

Another waiter (a lady) came twice to ask us if we were done when our plates were still full. Only one of us had eaten his food. It felt like we were being chased and mind you it was only 9pm.

While their cat is an absolutely cutie, my friend is scared of cats. We asked the waiter if he could maybe keep his cat away from us cause clearly my friend was very uncomfortable. But to no avail.

Overall the dishes that my friends ordered were good but the service was one of the worst we’ve had.

Headed to Botteghita afterwards to forget what had happened and had the nicest time there. Even...

Came here December the 25th with my family. We booked an outside table but arrived there at the scheduled time but was said that the place was given to another customer. Just too bad, that can happen. We arrived at 8 pm and our meals arrived at 9.30 pm. We ordered at about 8.15 pm. Nobody came to enquire about us. Customers arriving after us were served and at 9 pm I asked the waitress if there was a problem with our order. She came and told us that customers ordering pizzas were served first because it's faster to prepare than pasta. We ordered pasta and one Greek salad.

We would have appreciated that someone came to us and tell us about the delay for the service. We waited for 1 hour a half with my two kids.

It may happen that an order is forgotten but it would be wiser to tell frankly instead of telling things that are untrue.

Just too bad because the Greek salad was awesome and fresh.

Would not recommend for the way we were considered. Food is...
