Eden Beach — Attraction in Isle Mauritius

Diya is an absolute gem. I visited Eden solo and she made me feel so welcome and the warm conversation made me feel right at home. This is a chic little spot. I don’t know if people swim here because there are boats in the water, but it’s certainly a nice space. Good music, good vibes, great drinks. Note that the sun doesn’t set on this side so no sunset view. Also they close early on Sundays - Google says 7 PM but they closed today around 5 PM and the kitchen stopped serving at 4:30. Diya was kind enough to make sure I got my order in before the kitchen closed. My understanding is they’re open quite late Monday to Saturday (Google says 10pm, but they said as late as midnight). Worst experience for such a gem of a place. The service was absolutely appalling. From the start we had to greet before being greeted, the service all along was poor, i really felt the fact of my brown skin suggest to the staff i was not worthy of a customer whereas the tourist were served and greeted with great smile and warm welcome.
