(take a lil time to read this review, hopefully it will be helpful)
I woke up that day, I slept late at night and was feeling lazy. I took my bath and got ready quickly to meet my friend who was waiting for me already. Always late, i had to rush a little. We arrived at baga, did a little shopping. The weather was nice but it was getting a bit hot. Starting to sweat and I was feeling uncomfortable. It was time to lunch, we circled the food court to order something with no avail. We didn't feel like eating anything there. Then it came to us like a voice in the back of our mind. "burger king." We walked over there under the hot sun. Pulled the door which didn't want to be pulled. Look at the menu and asked the staff "We never had the burgers here, which ones are the best?" She conveniently told us the Spicy Whooper and the Chicken Tendercrisp. So we ordered one burger each disregarding our appetite.
I mean it takes 3 burgers to fill my belly, since I usually eat a lot.
However, I'd rather starve!
The spicy whooper was so bad, I "whooped" when I went to mcDo afterwards.
When people asks me if Burger King (mauritian one ofc) is good, i give them the direction to McDonalds. The bad taste stayed in my mouth for the whole day long, even after the McDonalds.
I returned home with despair, the day was long and with tough experiences to share. My brother looked at me and asked about the food. I just said "Never have I ever spent one ninety for something not good"
Like Colonel Sanders (KFC) "My fried chicken recipe was rejected 1,009 times before the restaurant accepted it" So don't worry, you still...
Read moreUpdate: As with all things in Mauritius degraded quite quickly. A bit of a scam, a few time been there and chose the spicy versions which themselves are more expensive. They say they out of spicy therefore they would add extra jalapenos which is fine since i do like their jalapenos. Only after a couple of times i realized they charged me additional for the extra jalapenos, while billing the burger not as the base burger but as the spicy one on top of that. The self-service kiosk are mostly for show they never work as needed. Ordering at the cashier is difficult as they speak only Ënglish" and that too not fluent or conversant. I may come across of as racist but if you are targetting a mauritan clientele why not have someone that can actually communicate fluently with Mauritian and not just the person you can pay the cheapest. Skip the salad nowadays it is just shredded lettuce and corn with literally four piece of chicken.
It is fast food. It is relatively cheap and quick. The burgers are quite nice. Service can be a bit...
Read moreGiving a star coz the place is clean and pleasant. Rapid service, was happily surprised as we got our food in less than 10 minutes....BUT a minute it after i took my first bite it was a huge slap! ... The foods was so damn cold and taste weird. The chips was ok. The burger was one of the most unworthy I've ever taste in a fastfood and we did take a big one and one of the cheap one both taste same weird and🤐 .. the bbq wings😳 Gosh what a waste of time and money, dry, smelly... I couldn't finish it. Mozzarella sticks not worth it also not even the nuggets were good. Very...
