This is our second time at Blue Fish and both experiences were excellent! Ismael was our waiter and he was amazing! He was attentive and caring, and we were lucky to have him as our waiter. Here is what we ordered and what we recommend for eating and drinking. The mango frozen margarita was delicious and made with fresh mango. The spicy margarita was too spicy, so be very careful when ordering that. We had to send it back and get a regular margarita after two or three attempts to make it less spicy. Their wine selection was excellent. I enjoyed the Italian Sauvignon Blanc and my husband ordered the French Pinot Noir.
For appetizers, I highly recommend ordering the guacamole that is served with a tomato pico de gallo and a habanero soy sauce with seasoned chips. Not sure it was actually on the menu, but we had it at the previous time in ordered it again. 10 out of 10 on this and would absolutely re-order next tim. The chips are fresh, crispy, and seasoned. The combination of the guacamole, tomatoes, and spicy soy sauce was unique and delicious.
For appetizers, I recommend the aqua chili tostada, which is the fresh fish sashimi on top of a tostada with cucumber, carrots, and red onions served with the sauce of your choice. We ordered the green Verde sauce and it was tasty, but spicy.
We also ordered the fresh fish sashimi, which is a huge portion and a little too much for two people to share that’s an appetizer with other menu items, which we like to order. Better for a larger group such as four people to share.
For our main dish, we ordered the fresh fish and shrimp combo battered. It was served with a spicy mayonnaise that we requested, and they were both perfectly cooked and melted in our mouths. This was a 10 out of 10 and we would definitely order this again next time.
The fresh fish of the day is always a must order. Highly recommend this place as delicious, fresh, and...
Read moreThis is a casual restaurant with nothing in terms of views, but the food is top notch. We took all the server’s recommendations. Catch of the day ceviche (yellow fin) and sashimi were excellent, maybe the best ceviche I’ve had. We also had ranch shrimp tacos (great, but spicy). Garlic octopus tacos (my son said they were great). Sea bass filet, would recommend a sauce for this, the fish is prepared well, but very simply (server suggested a garlic butter, but would ask about other sauces). Only thing that did not impress (was not a suggestion from the server), was fish fingers, they would probably be good for children that want...
Read moreScallop ceviche was delicious, as were the octopus tacos! Smoked fish quesadilla and mixed sashimi were also good. The one thing the restaurant is lacking is sauce/topping options for the tacos. The slaw didn’t have any texture to it/was limp and the pico didn’t have much flavor. I asked for something spicy and the server brought out Tabasco and a bottle of green habanero sauce. The habanero sauce was fine, but when your menu is half tacos, you have to have a better sauce game. The soy dip they bring out with the chips is just weird and doesn’t make sense at all. I’ll be back, but I’ll bring my own sauce...
