Lo Splendido Los Cabos — Restaurant in Baja California Sur

We had a lovely dining experience at Il Splendido. To start, we ordered the bread basket, which came with butter and caramelized garlic—an absolute delight! The sourdough was also very good. We also shared a burrata, which was perfect—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented.

For the main course, we had the filet mignon, ordered medium-well. However, it was not cooked evenly—some parts were indeed medium-well, but the center was closer to medium. Despite this, the flavor was great, though not exactly what we expected. As a side, we ordered potatoes, which were delicious. Interestingly, the filet also came with sliced potatoes, but the additional side we ordered was even better.

The cocktail selection was solid, and their wine list is quite extensive.

We dined on a Sunday night. We were the only table in the restaurant. Drinks were slow as well as main courses. What shocked us the most was that the waiter “kindly” offered bread while we were waiting for food and to our surprise the bread was charged at the end of the meal as well as the very expensive water (waiters must ask if you want house water or the expensive one in my opinion). We ordered a scoop of ice cream chocolate flavor and it came vanilla, on the menu said 50 pesos per scoop and they charged 100, the scoop was very small. Just keep this in mind when you visit.
