So excited to try this newly opens Mexican restaurant in the upscale shops of Palmia in Cabo. We had an amazing experience. Starting with our attentive waiter, Juan, he was helpful in guiding us through the extensive menu. The chef, Juan Pablo, greeted us at our table and was very kind and Accommodating. We also met Enrique, the manager. There was live music outside, so we opted to sit inside in the air-conditioning where it was a little quieter on this warm September evening.
To start, they have a great value margarita for four drinks served in a bottle. It was perfectly crafted for my taste, and only contained Blanco tequila, lime, juice, and triple sec. It was not too sweet or sour and you could taste the tequila, but wasn’t too strong. Definitely a repeat.
They had a great wine selection, and my husband ordered a bottle of their red wine, which was awesome!
We opted for the special of the day, which was the Berria quesadilla, which was tender and flavorful with the nice dipping sauce. The outer shell was a little crispy for our preference, but this may be more traditional and still would recommend it.
I ordered the journey tasting menu which I appreciated seeing on the menu in order to try multiple dishes. They brought out multiple bowls of tasting foods, which were delicious, including spicy pickled veggies, which I loved. Also included was a bowl of salsa, refried beans, pico de gallo, and guacamole. For the dishes, you got to pick one from each of the menu sections, which was very nice. I started with the cheese ina banana leaf, which was very nice. Then I had the Verde ceviche on a tostada, which is 10 out of 10! Then I had the chees stuffed zucchini in tomato sauce, which I thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely re-order. They allow me to substitute that for a soup, which I wasn’t thrilled about eating on such a warm evening.
Then I had the crispy tortilla taco with beans, avocado, tomato, which was good.
For the main entrée, I ordered the special day, which was the chili and I was stuff with marinated meats and a walnut cream sauce. It wasn’t allowed for the journey tasting, but I paid a upcharge to get it. It was good, but maybe not quite as good as the same traditional dish served at Mi Casa. It was good however.
For dessert, I got the vanilla ice cream with the goat cheese caramel with a decaf espresso, both of which were delicious.
Highly recommend you check...
