We brought our own fresh fish that we had caught and had it prepared for a party of 6. The amount served appeared less than what we had brought but we can't be sure. But what we did note was an attempt to overcharge our bill about 25 us dollars. It was near closing time so we had to pay quickly and clear out but we reviewed the note and it seemed extreme, especially since we brought the fish. When the bill was questioned the waiter embarrassed agreed and fixed it. They had charged an additional 500 pesos. The restaurant charged 250 per person to prepare the fish we brought. We paid and added a tip. As we were leaving we wanted to take a quick picture and I asked a waiter if he could please take our picture and he declined saying that the tab did not include a tip and we add a tip. I told him that's not true. I told him to count the money again . He said very angrily that we had only left 80 pesos tip. Two waiters behind him raised their eyebrows and looked stunned as he claimed we had under paid . I surprised at this guy's attitude, declining to take our picture, then claiming we didn't include a tip. I returned to my group and told them we weren't getting our picture taken and that the guy had claimed we didn't leave a tip, when we did. We all agreed we had left 300 peso tip which was 15 percent. When I walked back to see if he'd verified the cash payment we had paid. He wouldn't look me in the face but said the tip WAS there THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE and NOW he'd take the picture. I told him to forget it and walked away from him. It turns out this jerk is the owner. Looking at the reviews, they try to double charge. Review your bill, count the money in front of them and make sure they don't double charge your...

Read moreWe ate here a few nights ago. The food was decent. When it came time to settle the bill, my wife offered to pay. The server was fumbling the stand-alone card reader, pulling the card out, putting it back in multiple times. Then while the card was being read, he reset his phone and said that the transaction didn't go through. I paid with my Visa and it was all taken care of. When my wife checked her account, the purchase had been withdrawn from her account and verified by phone to her bank. We went back to the restaurant and were treated like scum, being told we were lying. We showed the owner both our banking apps, showing both transactions had gone through. We kindly asked for a refund for one of the transactions. The owner and server told us to leave while laughing hysterical at my wife, muttering stupid Americans (we are Canadian, and i speak Spanish). Regardless of the food, I wouksnt go back there if it was the last place in Baja....
