Las Cabanas de Loreto — Hotel in Baja California Sur

This is an outstanding place to stay in Loreto. The property is gorgeous with large spacious rooms with wonderful decorations and fully stocked w/ amenities (fridge, microwave, etc..). They even provided a fruit basket, granola, milk and yogurt! The facilities outside of the room are even better with plenty of tables and areas to eat outside in the courtyard, a fully stocked outdoor kitchen, bar, pool, hammocks, etc.. They have beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, snorkel equipment and bikes to use. The Location is great being steps from the Malecon and a short 10 min walk to the marina to catch boats to the beaches on Isla Coronado (highly recommend that as well!!!). However, the best reason to stay at Las Cabanas de Loreto are the owners Jill, Rick, Les and Linda. We have never met such hospital hosts that go out of their way to make sure your trip is fully satisfied. As soon as you arrive, it feels like you are part of their extended family (not exaggerating, they are that nice)! No wonder most of their guests seem to be return visitors! I would want to gatekeep this place, but since they are always full anyway and they don't even advertise, their is no need so might as well add my whole hearted endorsement of this establishment. This is a unique property. We had one of four cabanas which surround the pool, with a beautiful garden that is tended every day.The property is about half a block from the malecon, and walking distance to the marina as well as downtown. The hosts, Jill and Rick have set up an expansive outside kitchen for the use of their guests, in the event they want to cook rather than eat out.The property is walled, secure and calm. All of the other guests that we have met there have been friendly, interesting, and engaging.||Rick and Jill outdo themselves in making certain that their guests have a comfortable stay, with as many activities as they wish. They arrange for horseback rides, panga rides to snorkel in the waters around the islands, kayaking, scenic rides, and the list goes on and on.||If you're lucky, maybe you'll hear Jill singing with her band at a rehearsal in the patio, or visit Rick's photography and video studio for a virtual tour of the flora and fauna of Southern Baja peninsula. We love Las Cabanas de Loreto! We have stayed here many times over the years and have never been disappointed. |Las Cabanas is very clean and has literally every thing you might need. The rooms have a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, toaster, etc, etc! Plates, cups, and lots of filtered water in a large dispenser which we always drink from without problems. The beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows. I've never seen a bug of any kind.|The pool area is lovely and super clean. There are plenty of lounge chairs and lots of sun or shade. |The area is very safe and we've never felt uncomfortable or afraid in any way.|Jill and Rick can arrange any outing you might want. They also have snorkel gear and bikes available. They are so nice and knowledgeable as they've lived in Loreto for years.
