Awesome spot for seafood tacos! I stayed at an Airbnb just across the street and this place was busy every afternoon/evening with locals and tourists alike. It sits just a block off the main road and boy what a difference from the tourist traps that surround it. Service was excellent and the staff remember your drink preference the next time you stop in. Easy listening music during the day turns to dance/party music during the evening. Hours are, well, very ambiguous... I think they close up whenever it dies down each night which could be 9pm or 2am during the week. Needless to say, I stopped by nearly every day I was in town and tried a number of offerings: Fish, shimp, and Marlin tacos 5 stars (3 was plenty). Chicken and beef tacos 4.5 stars (4 tacos was a bit too much for one meal but they were too good to stop eating) Super burrito 4 stars (single burrito is big enough for 2 meals a bit too much cheese or something)

Table salsas are good and different from other spots around town. The flavor profile definitely lend themselves more to the...

Amazing local food, friendly staff, and if you like to dance a very fun (yet chill) dance party from 6- 9 pm most nights. It's kind of like half DJ half karaoke. Plays lots of American oldies for a slightly older crowd (retired age) but I am in my 30s and still had a blast. Fresh fish daily delivered straight from the ocean. Authentic Baja food (tacos, tostado, burrito, aguachile, ceviche, tuna, shrimp, fish, octopus, oyster, etc) and options for those that want more American food too. My mom and I had so much fun we went twice during our week vacation in San Jose del Cabo. We got ceviche, coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail, chili relleno, tuna tostada. All delicious! The tacos looked great too. Nice large portions for a very affordable price. It is near the "downtown" plaza/ square area in San Jose del Cabo. Easy walk from the hotel zone or downtown after some shopping or before the art walk on Thursdays. Most of the staff spoke English and menu is in English. Took pesos or credit credit card. If you are looking for local food and a very good time...

Came here looking for great food, but got that plus SO much more! Abraham Stark was performing live here and he did amazing, paired with a fun group in their 50s celebrating a birthday- it was a recipe for a stellar evening! By the time we ordered our last drink the waiters took up the center tables so everyone could be on the dance floor. I’ve never had so much fun with such a full, satisfied stomach in my life!

We caught tuna on our day fishing trip which we had prepared as sashimi and grilled&fried tacos and both were excellent! My husband was extra hungry so we also ordered the molcajetes caliente and is was SO good!! The lime margarita was great and the pina colada was one of the better ones we’ve had our entire trip.

Highly recommend trying this place out! We were actually headed to a different restaurant but our driver suggested this and I’m so glad we took his recommendation and came here instead. You won’t be...

I did a deep dive in research before selecting a seafood restaurant after a pretty disastrous experience in Cabo San Lucas. We decided on El Chino and it did not disappoint. The service started with complimentary chips and salsa. I know a place will be good when they bring some great salsa to the table. They offered three different ones and all were delicious. The limonadas were also great. We decided to split a fried fish with shrimp and it was absolutely amazing. It was honestly the best fried fish I have ever had and it is one of my go to orders. Tonight will be our last night in San Jose and have decided to go back for our last dinner to try more of their amazing food. The staff was also extremely kind. This does not always happen in tourist places but they seem like very genuine people. I travel a lot of Mexico and Los Cabo’s will be a regular stop for me now. El Chino will be an every trip meal.
