Es Por Ti y Mi! Literally, one of the best croissants I’ve had in ages and ages. Other members of my family tried the other pastries- yes, also excellent. I’m from LA and we have our share of good food. Luis (we didn’t get to meet his wife) is amazing, gracious, friendly, and committed to good quality food. He showed me the fresh sourdough that came out of his oven. They were singing the bread song (the sourdough) and were perfect! Seriously, can’t find anything better here (San Jose Del Cabo) or in CSL. Actually, his croissant was so shatteringly crisp and then buttery inside, I don’t think I’ve found much better in LA, even with world famous San Francisco transplants there. We are gonna try everything else when we come back again bc this is one of the gems of this area. Not pretentious, not fussy, just good food. Come here, sit a spell- it’s a beach town not the rat race, relaaaaaxxxxx. Service is slower bc everything is not rushed and also we are all on vacation while others are working. What’s the deal with waiting 15, 20 minutes for good food and drinks. Relax, this isn’t McDonald’s, everything takes more than 3 minutes to get to the table. Well worth it. Promise. **Update: we had steak and eggs and pork hash. The most delish lattes and drinks. My goodness. I have to warn people. Everything we ate was evil good. EVIL good. We might have just bought one of everything. We might have eaten...
Read moreSadly, we had a very poor experience here. It felt as if the panaderia was being run by teenagers who were more interested socializing than helping customers. My husband and I arrived shortly after they opened. They had a large selection of pastries sitting at the end of the counter where they made their bread, freshly baked with that warm sweet smell of fresh breakfast rolls and donuts . We sat and ordered drinks. While waiting, all of the freshly baked pastries were scooped up by employees and we watched as they sat out back and enjoyed them all, no crumbs left! Disappointed, we perused the menu and waited to order, and waited, and waited. Apparently our server was one of the employees scarfing pasties out back. Finally we placed our order, 5 minutes went by the. We’re told the kitchen wasn’t able to make food for another 20 minutes. We had some place to be and weren’t feeling fondly about Es Por Ti at this point, so we asked for the check and headed to our favorite French bakery for...
Read moreGreat cafe 🎉 was super happy to find such a gem. They have non dairy milk, oat, almond, and a fantastic barista who will execute perfectly. Reminded me of the quality of coffee in NZ or Australia, so that was a big compliment.
Now the food! Great options for lunch and breakfast if you want to sit down, as well as tasty pastry, croissant, etc to go from their bakery. Vegetarian options on the menu are wonderful. I ate there 2 mornings in a row, once for the avocado toast , and the next for their omelette with greens and sourdough and that was AMAZING. Coffee prices are on par with the rest of the city but much better quality. Same for the food! Reasonable!
A mention also for the staff who were kind, not intrusive, gentle.
Thank you for running such a...
