My experience was different than most peoples, I guess. When we walked in the place seemed quaint and like a nice place to eat. We got sat down by the waiter, which was not that friendly. We were given a menu that was a sheet of paper and did not have much information about what came with the entrées. The waiter was not that informative either. When I asked him what came with the entrées he never mentioned a salad, so we ordered two salads with our food. When the food came, we ended up with four salads. Then, the lobster. This restaurant was recommended because of the lobster, that’s why we came. We ordered the combination platter that came with fish, lobster and shrimp. We were very disappointed that the lobster was not only overcooked and chewy, but did not have any dipping sauces to go with it. The fish was also overcooked and dry. The best thing on this dish were the breaded shrimp, the rice, beans and tortillas. But we didn’t come for that, and certainly did not come to pay $133 to eat good rice beans and tortillas. To be honest, I had better lobster at red lobster and that’s not saying much. I will never come here again. Let alone to any restaurant...
Read moreCame here today with my wife and two kids because of the positive reviews. Very disappointed. Menu does not have prices on lobster so had to ask waiter for pricing. Waiter stated Lobster is $900 pesos for 3 small pieces barely enough for one person so we decided to skip lobster and ordered other items off the menu. Food came out and to my surprise, lobster was served at our table. I told waiter we did not order lobster and he said he cannot take back because he repeated our order and we agreed order was correct. We had made it clear that we did not order lobster so we got stuck having to pay for the overpriced lobster we did not order. To make matters worse, my wife ordered garlic shrimp and were served with shells. I ordered pescado a la plancha and lacked flavor, and lobster was very chewy didn’t taste fresh. Puerto Nuevo has been a stop for us every time we visit Rosarito but I have to say this has been the worst dining experience in Puerto Nuevo...
Read moreStaff made us feel unwelcomed. Prices are ridiculous, extremely high. The food isn't impressive. I ordered a whole fish , not bad. The fish was bigger than my plate,I had no room for beans or rice,I had nowhere to put the bones, so I put them in a napkin. The waiter didn't come to our table until we asked him a question but he didn't take the fish bones. We asked for another tortilla but he was about to leave and I asked him to take the fish bones, he hesitated until I picked them up with my hand and put them in the tortilla basket so he took them. There were no napkins on our table, no lap napkins. Most of the waiters were standing at the bar talking loudly and making noise. Our waiter was nowhere as we left the restaurant. We'll never be back...
