TACOS AL VAPOR “GIL” — Restaurant in Baja California

Si estás en Otay y no has probado Tacos El Gil, te estás perdiendo un pedazo de tradición. El menú es simple (frijol, papa, carne… y uno más que siempre se me olvida 🙈), pero el sabor no necesita complicarse. Yo siempre pido estre esos 3. Los preparan ahí mismo, a tu gusto, con lechuga, cebolla y etc. Son a vapor así q olvídate de la dieta.. .yo me los como con una tortilla.

Lo único malo: se acaban. Así de fácil. Si llegas después de las 3 de la tarde, probablemente ya cerraron o ya no hay nada. Llegar con hambre tarde es arriesgarte a no comer ahí.

Puedes pedir para llevar o te dan para comer parado o en tu carro. Tiene una mini barrita pero siempre está llena.

Y sí, el estacionamiento es una mini aventura. Tienen pocos espacios y la demanda es alta, así que seguramente te tocará dar una vuelta y dejar el carro en las calles cercanas. Pero vale la pena la caminadita.

Al final, Tacos El Gil es de esos lugares que uno siempre termina perdonando todo… porque el taco...

My husband and I got there around 10am. Only place I found that does Mexico DF vapor tacos. They ran out of potatoes and the beans. Only had Chicharrón and beef. Which I would’ve thought would be opposite. Usually protein sells out faster than the other options in restaurants. But not here. So they must be amazing. But either way both were delicious. Definitely going back early to hopefully be one of the lucky ones to try the other options. The whole staff were super friendly and very attentive. Making sure you always had a taco on your plate. Good flavor,clean and enough for the price. Quick service,friendly with a long line they made it flawless!! Not enough sitting since it's a small corner spot but can go to your vehicle and enjoy them there. AAA+++ for trust the customer by eating first and pay later ,mind you that you are on the street and one can walk away but not the case because they make you feel trust worthy. A must...
