WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! READ THE REVIEWS! I decided to book this hotel trusting the general raiting without reading the reviews, worst mistake ever. Since the moment we stteped foot in the hotel, we realized there was no personnel to help you carry your bags, or greet you, which was no big deal, just a comment on what to expect upon arrival. The elevator is "out of service," but since we had a significant amount of luggage, they called the maintenance person to open it for us. When all the luggage was inside the elevator, my husband got in the elevator, and the doors closed directly trapping him, and it took a hot minute to open the doors to release my husband. We decided to let it go and simply avoid using the elevator for any purpose other than luggage transportation because elevator doors crushing a person is DANGEROUS. We decided to let it go and go on with our stay. After our first night here, we were making the bed, and we found out the comforter had BLOOD STAINS, immediately called front desk to let them know, and they changed the bedding set. They compensated the disgusting experience with complimentary lunch, but that doesn't change the fact that we were in direct contact with someone elses body fluids. Just ewwk.... We were going to let this go and don't post about the disgusting experience because obviously we were offered compensation, but then the towels we received were filthy dirty, both towels had what appeared to be foundation and blood stains, this time we called in and they did not apologize, they didn't try to make it better, they just didn't care at all. Front desk personnel was amazing during the whole stay until the last night. It's really frustrating to come to a filthy hotel where all their basic whites are stained with either blood or make-up. Especially when their only answer to this frustrating situation is "I'll speak to my manager." This hotel needs to do better or not get any...
Read moreStayed here for a night as we were picking someone up from the airport. The hotel itself is nice in external appearance. The room we stayed in (402) was a Master King advertised in the English version of their site as having a jacuzzi, it did not. I actually chose that room because of that claim and paid extra. The room was clean and very spacious. It had a living room, bedroom and two bathrooms. Decore was somewhat bland and simple. But again, it was clean. The AC unit did not work as it was blowing warm air when we first arrived. We mentioned this to a staff member before we went to dinner. Came back and it was working somewhat better, but not as cold as I think it should have been. The room was 24c when we got back from dinner, AC was set to 10c, the room only got to 23c. My wife and I were not able to sleep because we were just too warm. We could not open a window because the room faced a busy street with lots of big trucks using engine braking. Now back to the jacuzzi. When I mentioned to staff that I had chosen the room specifically for the jacuzzi claim, they offered a 10% discount in the restaurant as compensation for paying more for something we did not get. Read morekey card problems - door to enter had programming issues. got two different keys, walked down to lobby 4x to get inside first day. they called maintenance to get me in, assuring me they would fix. the next morning I checked before leaving, didn't work. lobby called maintenance again, took my key and said they would reprogram when gone. later that day, they gave me a key that didn't work. then waited about 15 minutes to get maintenance to open. came back 2x to my room, leaving my door open when they left. they finally decided to change out locking mechanism, then closed the door to make sure it worked they said... 5 minutes later I checked and no one was outside. went back to lobby to get a key card, but again I waited about 5 minutes for maintenance to confirm they fixed. I was never offered a replacement room, no courtesy anything for the problems, I would not stay or recommend this place to anyone. I didn't get any discount when purchasing this hotel. booked online and paid much more than local price.. I could have gotten an American 3Star instead of a Tijuana 3Star hotel for the same price if I had not booked through Expedia, they've let me down 2x already - it won't be 3..!!
