We had dinner at El Patio, the Mexican restaurant at Dreams Sands Cancun, and I have to say — everything about the meal felt thoughtful, balanced, and genuinely satisfying.

The menu isn’t trying to be flashy — just authentic, well-rounded Mexican cuisine with clean flavors and comforting presentation. From the first bite to the last, every dish was cooked with care. The flavors were bold but not overpowering, the textures were just right, and nothing felt rushed or overly processed. It’s clear they know what they’re doing in that kitchen.

The service was friendly and professional, and the space itself has a traditional, welcoming vibe — nothing too formal, but still refined enough to make dinner feel special.

It’s rare for a resort restaurant to deliver consistency across every part of the meal, but El Patio managed to do just that — appetizers, main dishes, sides, and desserts all held their own. This is the kind of spot that reminds you just how good classic Mexican food can be when it’s done right.

Hospedados en el hotel, dreams sands all inclusive, pasamos una mala noche cenando el dia 23/4/22 a las 20hs por la mala atencion del mozo RAUL quien nos atendio de forma desagradable solo por el hecho de ser argentinos, nos tomó la orden de mala manera, ni siquiera nos dio la bienvenida ni se presentó (algo que tienen por costumbre hacer todos los demas meseros y recepcionistas de cada restaurant del hotel) al principio pensamos que era solo su forma de ser, pero no fue así, ya que al lado nuestro una mesa de 4 estadounidenses fueron atendidos de OTRA manera totalmente diferente, esto es asi, ya que algunos tienen la costumbre de atender mejor al americano que al resto de la humanidad solo por los dolares de propina. No solo nos discriminó, sino que le pareció mucho lo que ordenamos, repito, es un all inclusive, pido TODO lo que quiero por que ya lo pagué. Lamentable tener que vivir esto en un lugar como este. Me tuve que levantar a buscar 2 vasos de cerveza en uno de los bares del exterior del hotel y dejar de comer por que JAMAS nos los trajo. Destacamos la atencion de la recepcionista de la noche, la sta JACKELINE MONROY y el encargado sr. ROMAN quienes si fueron amables y bien predispuestos para que podamos remontar la cena! Restaurant El Patio was amazing! Best meal we had while staying at Dreams Sands Resort! Esther was able to get us a wonderful table and Geraldo was simply amazing! Took care of us, even arranged for us to attend the Festival going on at the resort! Meseros, Abraham, Roberto, Erick and Samuel were all especially accommodating as well!
