Spazio Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Cancún

Just about getting three stars. Just. Another review suggests that it’s a repurposed mall and that each bedroom a former store…we were trying to put our finger on what wasn’t right in this place and this is a great description. Each bedroom has a theme around fashion, our first room, the wonderfully titled David Beckham was adorned with huge photos of said David and had a very damp smell, I hope unlike the real David. We had to swap. Three times. Until we found Karl Lagerfeld. If you ever wanted to know what it would be like to sleep in a Lagerfeld fetishist zone, this is the place to sleep. If you’re on a spring break week of fun, I imagine entertaining your new found lady friends alongside beckham or Lagerfeld would be a wonderful treat. This place was not what I expected, but not at all in a bad way. I stayed here, and the staff were friendly, helpful and made sure I was satisfied at every turn.|The hotel itself, I would describe as a repurposed shopping mall. Each room is essentially a former store, for example I was in a room with DKNY art, So I assume was a former dkny boutique. Never the less, the room was spacious, the ac worked wonderfully, the restroom was perfectly fine. It is in a pretty well lit area with constant foot traffic. I did walk to a resort one day, and had to walk through the back of the hotel. While I didn’t feel in danger, I would not recommend if you are alone, as it can get a little dicey at times. |All in all, if you are looking at a good budget for Cancun not wanting to be in a resort, this is definitely a great option and you get...

This hotel/boutique is not at all what is listed. The name at the location isn't even the same. Walls are paper thin, mini bar in room was non-existent (you had to go to the lobby for any drinks that it might have included and pay), 700sq ft. suite was maybe 100sq. ft., breakfast was toast, etc. ||Only good qualities were; the beach was a short walk away (across the street and blocks to access), and the restaurant up stairs is good.||After staying one night and asking to be refunded for the rest of our week stay (due to false advertisement), they seemed very unhelpful in refusing us and still after 10 days have yet to be refunded. ||Do not order a taxi through this hotel either!!
