A Culinary Symphony of Steakhouse Excellence
My recent visit to Harry's Steakhouse was nothing short of a gastronomic masterpiece. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I was in for a treat. The restaurant's reputation for excellent steaks and cocktails preceded itself, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
Let's start with the star of the show: the steak. Every bite was a revelation of flavor and tenderness. Cooked to absolute perfection, the steaks at Harry's are a carnivore's dream come true. The quality of the meat and the expertise in preparation truly set this establishment apart. Each cut was a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs, and I found myself savoring every morsel as if it were a work of art.
And speaking of art, the cocktails at Harry's are a symphony of mixology mastery. From classic concoctions to inventive creations, the bar staff demonstrates a deep understanding of flavor profiles and presentation. The cocktails not only complemented the meal beautifully but also elevated the entire dining experience to another level. Each sip was a delightful journey for the senses, leaving me impressed and thoroughly satisfied.
But what truly makes Harry's Steakhouse shine is its impeccable service. The staff's attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine warmth create an atmosphere that feels both upscale and welcoming. Every detail was taken care of, from recommendations on wine pairings to accommodating special requests. The level of care and professionalism displayed by the team truly left a lasting impression on me.
In a world where dining experiences can sometimes blend together, Harry's Steakhouse stands as a beacon of excellence. If you're a connoisseur of fine steaks, masterfully crafted cocktails, and top-notch service, this is the place for you. I can confidently say that my visit to Harry's was not just a meal, but a memorable journey through the artistry of...
Read moreI have dined here many times and it was always great. This time, on Valentine's Day, no less, it was far below expectations.
The first problem was the failure for the restaurant to confirm the reservation. It was made online and I was able to show them that. They just didn't confirm it. If too busy to respond to online reservations, shut them off in the system.
Food was no more than average during this visit. The manager allowed 10% off to appease but I qualify for local discount anyway. So, in effect nothing really.
And now it gets worse. The person with me checked the bill and I paid. When I looked at it, there was a charge for 4 shots of tequila. No alcohol was ordered at our table. I've seen other restaurants try to slip something in but never here, until now.
The manager did bring me a refund in cash; sort of an indicator of the situation. They weren't going to argue an overcharge that was caught. The server never came back to the table. I wonder why?
I'm quite sure that the Anderson Group doesn't condone this behavior. Yet, I have to wonder how many tourists, especially those from the States get overcharged and don't realize it.
I probably eat here at Harry's 8-10 times a year, between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. And that doesn't include the numerous visits to other restaurants in the group. But no more. I don't want to visit a restaurant where I have to scrutinize the check every time to see what, if any, overcharge is on there.
I'm disappointed with this visit. Not a good experience at all. This is a successful restaurant group. There is no need to add charges, which is nothing less than stealing. An accurate bill will equate to $150+ USD without alcohol. There is no reason to take advantage of the clientele.
What used to be a 5 star on every visit dropped to a very justified 1...
Read moreWe had our 2nd celebration for our 17 year anniversary here and absolutely loved it. We were initially seated outside, overlooking the water but it was still pretty muggy out so we asked to move inside. Our severs were Pantoin and Fernanda; they were awesome. We started with the house garlic bread (fresh/yummy) and the beef broth for an appetizer. It was the best beef soup I’ve had. It came with bone marrow and a shot of sherry. Super flavorful and a nice amount. I ordered the Chilean sea bass and the man had the Jack’s Ribeye. Pantoin warned me the sea bass was a small portion which it was, but the soup and bread were filling. The sea bass was cooked perfectly; flaky and buttery. It came with mixed greens and puréed cauliflower. The sea bass was delicious; I didn’t love the cauliflower. The ribeye was pretty big and also cooked perfectly. It came with a garlic butter sauce that was absolutely fantastic. The ribeye was tender and flavorful. We had mashed potatoes on the side. Everything was done really well. We had a couple old fashioned cocktails and a couple shots of tequila. They gave us complimentary champagne and took our picture for our anniversary. We also got the cotton candy which was a cute, fun treat. As we were leaving the hostess told us that the band was starting so we decided to sit in the bar area and hang out a little longer. We ordered two more drinks and listened to the music for another hour. It was a great night. Harry’s is my new favorite place to visit when we come to Cancun. All in all we spent just under $400 US combined in both areas of the restaurant,...
