Overpriced like crazy but food whether lunch or dinner probably best in the area, they really know how to cook, breakfast US 30$ per person, dinner around US 50$ per person, main thing is how expensive it is, otherwise there is not really any breakfast, diner type of place around this area at reasonable price like in US, hugo de lemon is another decent breakfast place but also very expensive. For great local food Los Chachalacos is the best next to Westin hotel (definitely won’t regret that decision) followed by laparia in the other round mall connected by rainbow bridge to the mall closest to Westin, also has higher rating on google maps (also bit expensive). Definitely stay away from that Argentinian steak place closest to Westin, it is the most expensive in the area, they will give you the song and dance those crooks replacing your empty plate 3 times over the course of the dinner only to charge you 500$ for a meal that in US costs solid 75$ dollars for 3 people in Texas Road House, (beef in US is awesome), totally sucks here, so stay away from it. In this area in general they will be looking to take you for everything you got, so check the prices before ordering and the conversion rate. There is convenience store on site at westin, can get Starbucks there too as well as water and all essentials. 20min to the left of Westin there is Soriana supermarket, or Chadraue by taxi (high end store, you can really get everything you need at Soriana no need to pay Chadraue prices). Don’t order steak or beef, it is very expensive here since it’s mostly imported. Also if u do the dolphin thing the prices for the photos are negotiable, they first quoted us price of like 300$ US only to go down to a 100$ in the end, so constantly trying to scam you for more money every way they can. Don’t buy cuban cigars on the street at Isla Muheres, they are fakes and cheap, only buy cohibas at cigar stores (one next to Soriana) and expensive but worth it, great cigar store that one with outside patio, awesome sun sets, so its a...
Read moreMyan night at Oceano was a real treat. It was a buffet, so I'm ranking high for a buffet. Suggest taking small portions to sample all of the varieties, of which there's so much it'd be a challenge to try everything, but I'm not claiming to have liked everything! Overall, the food was delicious, in particular the pulled pork, and there were two other varieties of pork available that demonstrated different cooking methods. There was a salad bar. I also really enjoyed their "Myan fish". Do be careful of the salsa Verde labeled hot. For the uninitiated, there's a potential of confusing it with a guacamole sauce or mild salsa Verde, but it is indeed a flavorful habanero with a serious kick...
Read moreOur family had three breakfasts and one dinner there during our stay from March 30th to April 3rd. Every meal was great. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful. She chatted to my daughter every time and asked what she would like. We felt so warm to be treated like family. Waiters were diligent and friendly. The breakfast buffet had great varieties, including Mexican and western. You can also order customized food to your table (taco, pancake, omelet...). The fruit was freshly made from real fruit. Dinner had a great amount in the plate. My family enjoyed all the meals there and would like to thank the staff for giving us such...
