I loved the vibe of this local brewery. I don’t drink beer, but I could tell that a lot of love was poured into making this brewery. From the beautiful logo to the cozy/homey setting, you know you are getting to enjoy a family’s passion and dream.
I had their special cocktail which was great. And although we weren’t in the mood for burgers, we ended up ordering them (the menu didn’t have much selection) and they were pretty good burgers.
I do wish the menu had a few more options besides burgers as pub food (although I understand the desire to keep it simple), but aside from that it was still an enjoyable meal. Their lime peanuts were also delicious. Would recommend for a happy hour...
Read moreThis place is a little bit off the beaten track and hard to find - but well worth the effort. An authentic local establishment. As a fully paid up member of CAMRA in the UK it was a delight to find some beers with taste (versus generic cervesa on offer elsewhere). A couple of IPAs include a very nice New England IPA.
Also on offer, was Mead. Most pubs would think Mead was a long lost Medieval drink @ 12%abv. This Mead, at 4%abv is a total reinvention and perfect for the beach at 30°C.
That said, I much preferred the New England IPA. The facilites are basic but the beer is magnicent. Please support this young entrepreneur in promoting craft...

The night we went they were serving tasty free appetizers: little plates of pickled cucumber, spicy pineapple and jicama, refried beans with sausage, and more. The owner said that these "botaneros" were a Mexican tradition that they are trying to preserve and revive, which gave the place a sense of being authentically Mexican -- even as they served IPAs that could have stood toe-to-toe with any of the better brewpubs...
