We had the opportunity to spend time this week (October 15th - 18th) at the resort on a couple vacation with friends and family (Acosta/Guerrero/Gonzalez/Parra)
We have been visiting Dreams Hotels every year, over the past 11 years
We had one of the best experiences due to the attention of the staff. Too many to remember their names after multiple drinks, but one name that stands out was Jonathan at the rooftop restaurant, not because of the service he provided, we had similar attention from his teammates, but because his attitude and awareness to details.. (He’s a natural entertainer and an enthusiast individual that took hospitality to the next level) THANK YOU JONATHAN.
Now to my review: The hotel was clean and everyone was doing their part to keep it that way. They can clean your room as many times needed to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are modern and the showers are spacious and handicap friendly. Every room has an outstanding view. (I recommend the higher floors and take advantage of the sea breeze with we love since we live in a concrete jungle) Meals selections at their restaurants were always good and we had no issues getting it in a timely manner. The pools were not crowded and everyone had a great time. I personally recommend the rooftop pool due to the views. The beach wasn’t that impressive, but you will be able to take a short trip in the ferry to isla mujeres and experience the best that Mexico can offer. (Walking distance from the hotel 20mins boat ride). Liquor selection was good and you will not be disappointed when you select on of your favorite drinks.
It will not be an honest review if I don’t mention what I didn’t like: I didn’t like D’Onofrio the bars only stayed open until 12:00 AM and the Club until 1:00 AM if I remember correctly. (Just when to the club once) Coco cafe usually stays open 24 hours at others Dreams locations, but at this location it closed at 11:00 PM. (Room service was available in case you get hungry after hours), but if you are starving when spending a late night with friends it can be an inconvenience.
Overall; I will recommend staying at this vacation spot. We had a great time and you will not be disappointed! Take advantage of their facilities gym, pools, restaurants, and my favorite:...
Read moreHad a great time until hole 14 when the manager of the cart people drove out and said there was a problem with our bill....they apparently charged us $20 USD too little for our drinks 6 holes earlier. Not okay. They didn't even give us the drinks we had asked for. They also told us no credit cards were allowed and didn't give us an option of pesos. We are Canadian and had pesos. But otherwise the course was great and the person who dropped us off and picked us up...
Read moreThe hotel rooms are nice and spacious. However, the beach is small and all of the best amenities are only for the preferred Hyatt members. If you are NOT a preferred member, I believe this resort is not that worth it. The two best restaurants are not available to the plebeians nor the...
