Unfortunately the staff are very arrogant and unprofessional. It turns out that I was in contact via messages through the booking.com application with the person in charge of sales. Her last message was on September 19 telling me that there were not enough funds for the payment to be made, which I replied that it was a mistake, so she told me to check with my bank if I did not have a blockage or something similar. I asked her to please try again and the only thing left was that she would send me a confirmation number when this was done. I check my bank account and to my surprise the payment was made but Sabyna still hasn't sent me the confirmation number. On October 10 I send a message again asking for the confirmation number and nothing. On Monday October 19 I send a message again and no response. I talked to a person named Roberto who was the one that answered today when I called. When he answers I ask for his name but instead he hung up on me. I call again and he gave me Sabyna's direct number which I called and she hasn’t answer. Seriously, if you do not want to have these problems, I would recommend that you look elsewhere. I will be trying to get my confirmation number because I do not want to arrive and that they come up with some BS. Casa Caribe is probably beautiful but the staff is leaving it in tatters. I'll be back to give you an update on what happens. Regresare a darles una actualización de lo qué pase. (Update) After an hour of writing this review I got my confirmación number. (Actualización) A una hora de aver escrito esta reseña recibí mi número de confirmación. Personal de Casa Caribe en Cancún deben de esforzarse más en hacer bien su trabajo y si no les gusta trabajar en servicio al cliente mejor busquen...

I wouldn't describe this establishment as a hotel. It's more accurately likened to a sizable pensión, hidden away off the beaten path, yet remarkably close to the Isla Mujeres ferry terminal. Be aware that it's significantly removed from the bustling Cancun hotel district. So if you're in pursuit of a luxurious, all-inclusive vacation along the pristine, white sands of Cancun, this place is decidedly NOT for you.

On the upside, the place is charmingly cluttered with interesting decor and a wonderful array of plants, vines and all things green. The central courtyard contains an impressive, wooden staircase covered in giant pothos.

The lodging options are divided into two categories: a line of rooms along a trellised path leading to a dock that overlooks the water, and apartment-style accommodations accessible via the staircase. There is no elevator.

We opted for an apartment on the top floor, which was spacious and featured a small patio area in front, offering an amazing view of the ocean. However, there's one detail—or perhaps a deal-breaker for some—the room was outdated, dirty, dusty, and riddled with cobwebs. If that's not for you then you'll need to look elsewhere.

In my case, I required a place to stay overnight before departing from the Cancun airport so this place proved to be a quaint and affordably-priced option. However, if I had arrived with expectations of experiencing my ideal Cancun vacation, I would have been sorely disappointed. So take it for what it is. There's ample parking in the back and a house dog for those who...

||A solid 2.5 * hotel.  Perfectly adequate for your one night pre-ferry stay.||Casa Caribe appears to have addressed some of the issues raised in recent reviews.||Our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment stay met our needs, but was pricey for the quality of the facilities.||The good: ||* 3 minute walk to the ferry; ||* easy late night check-in with very nice staff member who spoke enough English to get us checked in with no issues. He also kindly carried our luggage upstairs for us and gave us a brief tour of the apartment||* pristine bed linens||* firm, but not hard mattress||* one bathroom of two bathrooms, which seemed to have been redone and was very clean||* nice waterview balcony||* clean except for a small section of the bedroom floor, which was sticky ||* no bugs of any kind||* a large menu of breakfast items for sale||* pool looked clean, but we didn't go in.||* clean kitchen with obviously new plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery||* nice dining area||good air conditioning||The not-so-good:|| one run down bathroom that was in such rough shape we couldn't tell if it was clean or not||* complimentary continental breakfast was awful - lukewarm coffee, fake orange juice (more like Tang), had to buy milk for the coffee||nowhere to put clothes -no hooks, drawers, shelves or hangers|| no pots, pans, or utensils for cooking||* tired-looking dirty sofa ||* price was high for...

I would stay here only if I had no other option. The convenience factor for the ferry was completely overridden by the fact that it was awful. It was raining while we were there and our rooms literally flooded, there was water coming in the ceiling and there was water coming in around the sliding glass doors. We had only one towel for 4 people and when I asked for towels they didn't believe me and followed me to the room to check before I was able to get any towels. They do not provide any soap or shampoo, not even a bar of soap to wash your hands. Although the soap wasn't needed because we had no water in our room the majority of the time we were in the room. Also the area where the hotel is located was a bit rough and they were unwilling to help us get a cab. Finally, and this was the least of my worries, the staff (when they were on site which wasn't much) only spoke Spanish so if you don't speak Spanish and you need help you might be out of luck. I understand I'm in Mexico so I'm not worried about needing to speak Spanish but it's something of which to be aware. I do speak Spanish and they often acted like they didn't understand me. Oh and the room smelled awful, very much like an porta potty after a very busy day.

Arriving in the dark, we carried our suitcases to the lobby. They gave us a nice room, but there was no television, sand in the bed, no water. He told us we could go to the store and buy some. Breakfast was a disappointment. Free fake orange juice, and nasty white bread and coffee. But if you want milk for the coffee it costs 8 pesos (approximately 40 cents) for a small pitcher, enough for two cups. The menu shows a one liter bottle of water, a coca cola or a can of beer all cost the same. As we walked in the woman that worked there did not greet us with a smile or a good morning, only a frown. Perhaps she was having a bad day. We did not eat. One good thing I can say. The free butter (?) and jam and sugar on the table was in glass containers and not single use plastic. But the shower still provided single use plastic. Oh yes, no hand railing to the pool that some folks need.
