Problem 1: We order two glasses of water and the brought us two bottles of water, we then tried to return them (unopened) saying we didn’t want them. They refused to take them back and we were forced to pay $100 for the two bottles.
Problem 2: We ordered a $90 juice (listed on the menu) and they charged us $95 for a ‘smoothie’ and said “it’s a premium drink so that’s how the system works”. The waitress then said “it’s only $5, don’t worry about it”. We don’t care about the extra $5, it’s the moral of charging more than it’s listed… and then saying it’s fine.
Problem 3: we order a side of hollandaise for the eggs, they then charged us extra for “soy milk and 3 other ingredients to make the hollandaise” and then refused to explain what the ingredients were and said “that’s how the system works”.
The audacity was that they asked us to tip them for their service.
Overall… we paid almost $1000 pesos for breakfast when it should’ve been about 30% less. Beware that you’ll pay more than the...
Read moreCame in for a simple breakfast and a takeaway sandwich for a day at the beach.
I ordered huevos al gusto. Eggs, potatoes and a choice of meat (correct me if I am wrong but I can speak and read Spanish and you are supposed to receive your choice of meat, yeah?)
No meat on my plate, just some scrambled eggs and some flavorless potatoes. I was asked if I wanted salsa. Yes. Salt and pepper? Yes.
I was brought some habanero salsa (finally, some small semblance of flavor). Never received the salt and pepper.
Halfway through my flavorless breakfast was brought a slice of toast. JUST a slice of toast. No butter, no jam, nothing. I inquired about the meat.
"Oh, that is extra."
Okay then.
Got my sandwich to go, paid and left.
A while later at the beach I ate a very flavorless tuna salad sandwich. They didn't even put napkins in the bag (but did include a knife and fork?)
One extra star given because the coffee was decent but I have a better coffee spot anyway....
Read moreWe were missing some traditional American breakfast and found this place on trip advisor. We were super satisfied with this place. First off, it was air-conditioned. We came here on a Wednesday during a very hot time in Cancún. Nadia, our server was very attentive and seated our family of 6 right away. She was very nice. We had some mocha fraps and taro drinks that were very delicious. Hubby said his cold coffee was quite bitter. He drinks black coffee all of the time, so he was surprised that the coffee that wasn't so dark was much bitter. The little ones had a chocolate chip trio and regular trio hotcake breakfast. We also had the banana french toast (pan frances de platano), which was probably one of the best I've had. It was like banana nut bread, moist, and toasty. Hubby ordered the creme brule french toast (pan frances de creme brule) and was very happy. We also added waffle montre cristo, which was also delicious. Super happy...
