I stopped here around 3:10am on a Tuesday night with my cousin and two new acquaintances, lol. We walked here from our hotel, which was only a 8-10 min walk. On the adventure here, we were repeatedly stopped by staff at the other establishments, which was slightly annoying. Upon arrival, we were promptly given menus, without really asking tbh, lol. We eventually sat down to look at menu more and then order. I ordered at 3:18am. I got 2 steak tacos, 1 chicken taco, and 1 pastor taco plus a bottle of water. My water and sauces came at 3:20am My tacos came at 3:23am. They were pretty delicious. I realized now that I’m not the biggest fan of pastor. I ended up using my card to pay, and I paid about $3-4 more, in comparison to Mexican money. I wasn’t tripping because this is minor compared to other negative encounters. I will note that my biggest recommendation if you’re visiting Mexico from another country: GET LOCAL MONEY (pesos). Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I was glad it was open late so I could eat some food. I would return.

Stopped by in the afternoon on Monday as they were playing Salsa and Cumbia music. Since there were not many people, the place was pretty flexible with music request and quick to serve orders. Absolutely loved the local vibes. This area is touristy and other places were filled with typical clubby/party music, which I’m not a fan of especially during the daytime, this restaurant is a good jam if they stick to the choice of music. Complementary crisps, salsa sauces and limes were served, which tasted stunning. It’s half-opened and smokable venue, the ventilation is fairly sufficient. I’m not quite sure about the dinner time, but a bit surprised to see negative reviews.

This place is down an alley and it is amazing. Just off the main road. We just happen to be walking this direction and they were telling us to eat there. We said sure it’s been around since 1994. Must be good. We were not disappointed at all. Service was great. Louie Louie was our server. Great guy. Pictured in review. He was offering suggestions. Gave us some chips and dips to start off with. Awesome appetizer to try out On the menu is a good but small variety. I had fajitas and my friend had a quesadilla per his suggestion. Flavor was so good. The torts were fresh. The pork cantor was so good too. If in the area you MUST try it out. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came here right after arriving from the airport. Food was good, waiter was friendly, spoke english, food came quickly - we liked it. But when the check came ... hahaha , he pulled out his phone calculator and started counting tacos at $3 US dollars a piece, which on that day was anywhere from 57-60 pesos. Menu, of course, had a different price - 26-36 pesos (pork and chicken). We didn't have any cheese. When I asked him about price difference - Voila, he forgot all his english and just kept pointing at his calculator. If you fool tourists - at least do it the smart way, but he just started playing stupid, pretending like he doesn't understand.

Owner, thank your waiter for "great" first impression of Mexico! I stayed another 16 days in Hotel zone and could've been your customer, but instead I took my time to write this review for...

July 27, 2025: we went here back in 2002 and was amazing so we returned out of nostalgia. Tortillas not hand made anymore. The music is so so loud all the business are competing. 4 tacos and 2 sodas was $35 USD plus tip which is way too expensive and automatically added the tip. Make sure you calculate their numbers. Service non existent. Food was awful! They take the dollar cheap but you will get your change in pesos. The alley where is located used to be clean and cute and it has turned into a a place where strip clubs and naked women dancing are abundant. We went on a Sunday at 8:30pm and we were the only customers. Not appropriate for families. Ghetto. I would not recommend this place. Playa del Carmen 5th avenue is what Cancun isn’t anymore. Head that...
