El Buen Provecho — Restaurant in Ensenada

Update May 24 2021! Still amazing and awesome today they delivered a bowl of four delicious pastries. Not a fan of pastry here but these were outstanding. One has a crisp sugar crumb coating with dates, one has a wonderful cinnamon apple filling, one is similar to a cinnamon roll witj dates one is simple brown sweet bread. DELICIOUS! I had popeye omelette, he jad chillequilles rojo 2 over med. eggs. Excellent! Still wish they heated their tortilla chips

We were greeted immediately upon walking over the threshold on Sunday at 9:30 Sunday morning. The place was almost full. We were served coffee within 2 minutes of sitting at our self selected table and had menus immediately following. Coffee is from an auto drip and tasty. Our server filled our coffee cup before it was empty throughout the entire service...AMAZING!  Beans were thick and not watered down nor did the beans contain too much oil. The eggs were ordered over medium and arrived perfectly cooked. The crema and crumbled cheese on top of chips were fresh and tasty. I had the verde and it was almost perfectly flavored and husband states the same on the rojo we each felt a little more heat in the spice would have been nice. We were given a bowl of red salsa and a bowl of green so we could add our own personal heat.

I gave this cafe five stars above because the entire experience was amazing and the flavors excellent but our one complaint is the warmth of the food upon arrival. The eggs were hot and served immediately after cooking but the chips and salsa served cold. I believe the chips and salsas were not kept warm prior to serving. “Buen Provecho” means “enjoy your meal” in Spanish. You’ll certain leave here with your panza contenta! They have all your classic Mexican breakfast dishes, including huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, etc. Service here is efficient. The outside of the restaurant doesn’t look too appealing, but the inside is so cute, cozy, and filled with love. Also the prices are so affordable!

Suggestions for Improvements: while we LOVED the breakfast plates, unfortunately their tortas (Mexican sandwiches ) were very dry :( still giving them 5 stars though because as a small family business they deserve...

Sometimes you wake up in the morning, and envision what a perfect breakfast would look like. Once we arrived here, I knew all my dreams would come true. My wife and I ordered different variants of the chilaquiles, and both were incredible. Both the sencillo and the mata cruda (includes egg and asada) were incredible.
