I go to baja often riding motorcycles with my family and friends. I used to come to this restaurant often and sent a lot of people there but the past few times I've left feeling that they simply don't care. A few months ago I came and a friend and I ordered margaritas... his was fine but mine was clearly weak. I told the waiter and he said I would have to pay for an extra shot even after I pointed out to him that my friends was obviously stronger. But I chalked it up to a one time event and let it go. Next trip, about a month later, I go and ordered a couple ritas...they were bitter but I decided not to say anything. Waiter says the kitchen is closing so if we want food order now. I get a few tacos. When they came they tasted mediocre at best and one of them was so bad we simply couldn't eat it! I told the waiter I didn't feel I should pay (i know, it's only like $2 but I'm a man of principle) because it tasted really bad. A lady comes to our table and asks me what specifically was wrong because if it was too salty or something then the cook would have to pay for it! I told her it was simply inedible and she charged me the whole $2 for it... and I assure you it is the last $2 they will get from me. And I assure you that I will share this with everyone I have ever recommended this place to along with others who ask me where to get a good margarita and food in Ensenada. What happened? This place USED to rock. I even have their t-shirt. Poor margaritas, poor food, poor customer service......
Read moreI did really like this place. The food was okay and the staff was great. Not to long ago I stopped in for a bite to eat. I was sitting at the bar. While I was waiting for my food a man came in and set at the bar 2 chairs down from me. He then proceeded to pick his dog up from the floor and set him on the bar stool between us. Which I did not like and I could also smell the dog. When my food was brought to me the guy with the dog stated "I wouldn't do that" referring to the fact that my food was in close proximity to the dog. So, the server pushed all my food to the other side of me, away from the dog. I finished my food and left right away. I did go back to the restaurant again, thinking this may have been a one time incident but was again faced with the man walking in while I was there and again sat two chairs down from me and sat his dog on the barstool between us. I immediately left. Today I walked by El Corralito and I looked inside the restaurant and there was the man with his dog sitting on the barstool. I made a remark saying that's exactly why I will not be back to this restaurant. A person at the end of the bar next to the sidewalk overheard me and asked why. I told him because of the dog. How f*kng insane is it to think that customers in a restaurant should share there seating...
Read moreAmongst the crowds of Ensenada’s busiest tourist precinct, El Corralito is a welcome venue to sit back, relax and enjoy the surrounding environment.
Open from well before noon, a perfect place to grab a refreshing beverage from the wide array of different drinks, also offering mocktails for those who prefer non alcoholic choices. We were content to stay with the ‘Tecate Red’ at USD $3.00 per bottle, a reasonable price by Ensenada standards.
We started out mid morning indoors bar side and then moved outdoors to their roadside seating area to enjoy a few more drinks and food. We ordered a combination meal which was more than enough to feed (not fatten) the both of us, I think it was around USD $20.00.
The bar staff and our server (particularly) were very welcoming and always ready to serve us another drink. We will visit here again whenever back in Ensenada (which is likely going to be a while given we live...
