Macchina Fonda Italiana — Restaurant in Ensenada

Terrible food and expensive for the lack of love and interest they prepare their food. Ordered meatballs appetizer as my main entree-DRIEST meatballs I've ever tasted and they had like a breading that made them even drier! BF had Bianca "White" pasta...NOTHING to write home about,bland hardly any sauce on noodles,two dollops of cold ricotta cheese on top,doesn't make sense! NOTHING special with this place besides the pretty atmosphere setting. **I ordered a salad too waitress took order NEVER came! It seems to be a trend of bad service in many restaurants in Ensenada. Waitress never once came to ask if everything was okay?!! Just stood in kitchen talking to another girl that worked there the whole time we sat for dinner,at that point I didn't even ask for missing salad. Hopefully someone in the future will make good use of this cute restaurant space BUT Italian food is not represented well here. 👎 zero 🌟...

I want to begin with the positives: this place is ridiculously cute, super friendly staff, and good service.

The food is a solid meh though. Considering the price ($50 USD for 3 pastas & 1 appetizer, no alcohol) I expected more. They don’t even serve you bread or anything. And the pastas were small. The meatball appetizer was a little strange (but nice presentation all around).

I’d give it another shot to try their pizza, but considering the price you can eat at Il Massimo or in Little Italy in San Diego for a better experience at the same price point.

I’d like to either see lower prices or larger portions and some bread. Come on, an Italian place that doesn’t...

This is a nice restaurant especially a nice weather because it's mostly outside seating of the food was good very flavorful and well prepared the service was good and the atmosphere was really nice we enjoyed the pizza and the pasta The only reason I give it three stars instead of four stars is because it's a little overpriced I think their prices are a little bit high for what they serve it's not it's not a five-star restaurant but they're charging five-star prices so I like the food the parking is okay...
