Tequilas Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Ensenada

Many go to Ensenada and go to Papas and beer. We go here, as it’s a sports bar with amazing homemade drinks (think Michelada and Bloody Mary). They also play good music, so it’s a better environment than the fake fun at Papas. Sometimes they are spot on with sports, other times locals will want USC games, which will skew up NFL audible.

Stopped at this little bar to watch a hockey game. Sarai the server was extremely helpful and welcoming and was able to get the game on TV for us. My wife had a couple of great margaritas and really loved the 70-80s video music playing during the game. We had some nachos which were just average but I hear other food here, especially seafood is very good. Met the owner who was very friendly and personable. Even though Google Maps gave me the wrong directions, I was able to find Tequilas easily. This is my kind of hangout: unpretentious, friendly, reasonable prices, good food (ask Louie, the manager, if he’s been fishing recently - he had his chef cook me a massive piece of dorado that he had caught the day before.
