Doña Prudencia — Restaurant in Guerrero

We visited with our family twice in the last few days. First night it took three attempts before the server said the order I wanted was available. Then he forgot half the dessert order from our group. He didn’t apologize and just walked away frustrated.

We came back tonight only because there were a few options for the kids. Same server. Multiple tables got food before us including those who sat way after us. After over an hour the nachos and kids food arrived. He said there was a problem in the kitchen. We ordered more drinks waiting for the rest of the food. We asked for the bill right away so we could take the kids to bed and when he brought it, our last round of drinks wasn’t on it, we thought they covered it to make up for the very long wait.

We asked for the bill back and thought maybe he was covering the bill? Since it took 15 minutes to bring it back, only to discover that he added the drinks!!! We were not impressed. Will not be returning. Too bad, because other than them not having everything on the menu, food...

Our favorite place to get really good, fresh food in Zihua on playa La Ropa. This is the hotel restaurant at Villa Mexicana. They serve the best, freshest guacamole and salsas. We ordered the ensalada Del Sol many, many times... A fresh tomato salad with Oaxaca cheese and cilantro dressing. It is just perfect!The Chile rellenos are also very good! We had breakfast here the first day of our trip and came back twice more because it was so delicious and well priced. I had the enchiladas sun and shadow each time and it was very good. Everything seems like they make it there everyday, because it was slightly different each time. Which is a big change coming from the US where so much of our food is frozen and such. Anyway, great restaurant, I hope to go many more times on...
