Sotavento Beach Club — Restaurant in Guerrero

Here's the deal... On the beach most places let you use their chairs and umbrellas but charge you a fee and whatever food or drinks you buy they delete the chair fee so if you bought $25 worth of food and the chair was $20 you owe $25. Sotaventos has the best chairs and a great staff that speak very good English. The smoothies, daiquiri's and food were all delicious. Fri-Sun they have brick oven pizzas. If you don't want music, you can sit on the other side of the building and you can't hear it at all (came again on a fri. and they did have a dj and all there speakers hooked up, was played at a normal level during the day, cannot speak for evening). Would definitely stay here on the beach again for the day. Okay so we originally sat at the bar on February 18, 2024 and it was awesome. Best cocktails by real bartenders so we were both happy. The fish tacos were excellent also. Two days later myself and 4 friends show up and rent chairs at 700peso/each. Take $ off bill for food and drinks. Again the food is exceptional. The service was hit and miss. The cocktails were watered down. Undrinkable really at 150peso a drink. The management decided we wouldn't notice. Wrong it ruined the experience actually. Why would we come back? Two orders of cocktails and again they were terrible. Why screw the guests? I never get this logic when it comes to who runs the place. I don't blame the servers or the staff. Fantastic spot to spend a day on the beach. I went to this beach club and the Thompson beach club and far preferred my time here - much cheaper, with better food, drinks, and service. In my opinion, also a better view as you are looking right out the middle of the cove and people are not set up in front of you as it is far down Playa la Ropa.
