The food was pretty decent and the presentation was beautiful, but the service was not great :/
I ordered a mimosa. It was tasty so once the food came I decided to order another. I speak pretty decent Spanish. I held up my mimosa glass, tapped the top of the glass and said, “una mimosa mas, por favor.” We waited quite a long time for the drink to come out, but instead of a drink an entire meal came (the same meal two of my family members ordered and had finished). We were confused and said that meal must belong to another table. No big deal. The waitress said that we ordered it and argued with us about it. It makes no sense for us to order another large meal when we were currently finishing up the meals we ordered. She kept saying that we ordered it and that we were wrong. It was very uncomfortable and ruined the dining experience.
My family and I are very respectful when we travel. We do our best to speak the native language and tip over 20%. We would have taken the meal and eaten it the next day if the waitress wouldn’t have argued with us and basically called us liars. We still tipped her, despite the totally negative encounter, because the food/service was decent up until that point.
FOOD: 7/10 SERVICE:...
Read moreReally cute place. We went there for breakfast because we didn't feel like waiting in line at Mangos and thought we'd try something different. I ordered divorced eggs, partner ordered eggs rancheros. I got water, he got coffee. His food was two fried eggs covered in bland salsa and a handful of romain with some oil on it. Mine was two fried eggs with a bland red sauce and a fairly decent green sauce, and a scoop of refried beans. It took close to an hour for us to get our food and the bill was something like 445 pesos, which is roughly 22 usd. I think the place is kind of bland and overpriced, although I wish I had ordered the avacado toast. I saw that come out for someone else and it looked pretty great. I probably wouldn't go here again, but maybe we came at a bad time and ordered...
Read moreWe found this place because we were staying in the colonials and it was convenient. It is adorable from the roadside and inviting. We had breakfast and dinner on different days. The vibe is romantic and chill- very elegant and warm. The food was fantastic. I ordered the special that evening, blackened grouper over risotto and asparagus. Hands down the best meal we had all week! We also ordered cheesecake and Carajillo for dessert and they were just as fantastic! The servers were attentive and the owner came to the table to say hello and make sure we were happy. He was very sweet. There was live music - he played a flute and a keyboard, very softly and beautifully I might add. Breakfast was fantastic also. Highly recommend for breakfast...
