I’m writing this truthful review to highlight some details about the place: When I arrived, speaking perfectly Spanish which is my second language, the lady at the entrance, not smiling nor anything, actually complaining that she wanted to go home, told me that I had 2 options: -500 pesos of which 100 where for the activities and table, and 400 that could be refunded (devolver in Spanish). -750 pesos of which 150 where for activities, table and sunbeds, of which 600 could be refunded. Apart from that, nobody tells you that to use the kayaks, paddle, etc. you only have 20 minutes. Apart from that, the service is extremely confused, all the servers walk around not really caring if somebody’s waiting. The place is really nice and gives you a vibe of privacy. What got me mad, was the fact that when I was leaving, I went back to the cashier as I did not spent my entire credit, and asked her to close the bill. There was a different one, and she asked me if I wanted to leave the credit in tip. I responded no, that I wanted it back and she replied that it’s not refundable. She started arguing with me, saying that what the other lady meant was that the credit could be refunded in food (devuelto en consumo) which has no sense at all. They basically force you to leave whatever you do not spend in tip. After that I asked for a taxi to go back to the city (because the place is in the middle of nowhere) and they told me that they couldn’t do that, and that I had to reach the closest hotel and ask them. The stress comes when you realize that this place is literally in the jungle and there are just private houses and hotels that ask you if you are a guest to help with anything. So for service, DEFINITELY DO NOT COME HERE. They don’t even know how to speak properly and then want to be on the right side without saying sorry. They definitely do not care about...
Read moreVisited here while exploring Isla Mujeres for the beautiful views and day activities due to our hotel being in the Hotel Zone, Cancun. We paid They charge 500 pesos each to use the facilities - however if you spend 300 pesos on food/drink then the day pass only costs 100 pesos each. Water sports equipment is an additional amount - you also need passport/driving license for this. Its 100 pesos for towel each for the day and 100 pesos for a locker as a deposit but you get this back on returning the key. They have good facilities here such as private pier for guests/hotel users, pools (both children and adult) as well as restaurant/bars and swings/hammock in the sea. There are some beautiful views/gorgeous 'social media' picture moments using these facilities. We only used the facilities for half the day until lunch due to wanting to explore the majority of the island however it was definitely worth it! When using the facilities for the day, you need to ensure you use the same service individual otherwise you will get charged twice as all drinks/food need to be included on the same bill. Unfortunately, due to the sea harshness/weather we were unable to use the paddle boards or canoes/kayaks on this occasion - however you were still able to lend the snorkeling equipment. Also enjoyed drinks/food at this location which were lovely with big portions! We were so full, we didn't manage to finish all of our food. Waiting staff were very attentive ensuring we had everything that we needed and grabbing additional drinks or even topping our drinks up with additional ice due to the heat! Would definitely recommend this hotel/services to people visiting due to their lovely service from staff and the facilities available. Will more than likely be returning in the future when we come back to...
Read moreI visited this place 3/11/2024 lunch time with my family. We had awful experience it was all initiated by server Edger. I was kinha with my family and my brother in law family total of 11 people. We had two tables dining separate food was average I ordered fish tacos surprisingly restaurant next to the ocean has bad fish tacos. Bad experience started after we were done eating and I was gonna pay with my credit card. Edgar brought credit card machine over and credit card machine didn’t have good WiFi connection he inserted my card and it didn’t work. He brought over different credit card machine put card in and my bank flagged my card and decline charge. From this point my card was locked no way of calling the bank to get it unlocked. I did have some cash with me but not enough to cover bill and tips. So my brother-in-law stepped in and paid with his card. I knew I was on island no way of using my card. So offered $10 tip to Edger he got upset with me why I only offered him only $10 so he walked away he stared to talk to one of the employee females by the bar. They both walked over to my table he was thinking he can pressure me to give him more tip. Before they even started talking, I asked him if tip was optional female employee replied yes I gave him $10 and I walked away. Message for Edgar you might be able to pressure other people to give you more tip that didn’t work with me buddy. As I started to walk away, I was gonna take that $10 back. To receive exceptionally good tip, you have to do exceptionally well food has to be great better than average. You probably would get bigger tip if you didn’t lock up my card. For people visiting this restaurant Tip is optional not mandatory. Be on lookout for...
