5 Stars – A Must-Visit Spot on Isla! Rancho Capriccio is a hidden gem! This charming, all-outdoor restaurant is fully covered and has an open-air vibe where you can watch your food and drinks being made from just about anywhere you sit. Whether you choose a seat at the bar or relax at a table, the cozy atmosphere is perfect—and there’s even a fun little photo op area!
One of the unique touches is the view of horses in the back (not theirs, but still a cool sight) and a striking blue peacock that struts up and down the parking lot like it owns the place. Parking is easy, either out front or around back by the horses, and it’s conveniently located next to a grocery store.
The food? Absolutely delicious. Our group of six all ordered different dishes, and every single one was a hit. They claim to have some of the best tacos on the island—and they’re not wrong. Personally, they’re my second favorite on the whole island, just based on sauce preferences. The Cadillac margarita, though? Hands down the best drink we’ve had during two trips to Isla!
Service was consistently fantastic both times we visited. The only small thing I’d suggest is speeding up the food delivery time—but to be fair, everything was super fresh and made to order, so it’s a tradeoff that’s worth it. You’ll see staff prepping lobsters and shrimp right there—it doesn’t get much fresher than that.
Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Isla. Great vibes, great food, great drinks—what more could...
Read moreWe really wanted to love this place — the presentation of everything is absolutely beautiful, from the food to the ambiance. But unfortunately, the experience just didn’t live up to the visuals.
We visited twice: once for breakfast and once for lunch on separate days. Both times, we had to constantly fight off flies, which really took away from the enjoyment of our meals. After realizing the restaurant is located right in front of a horse stable, the fly situation — and occasional smells — made a lot more sense. Still, it’s something to be aware of before you go.
The food itself looked stunning but tasted... just okay. Nothing stood out flavor-wise. We were hoping for bold, authentic Mexican flavors, but it all felt a bit bland and underwhelming. To top it off, the entire breakfast was set to an unexpected soundtrack — the full Justin Bieber album — which didn’t exactly match the vibe. Authentic regional music could’ve added so much to the atmosphere and brought a more immersive feel to the meal.
All in all, it's a beautiful spot with a lot of potential, but our experience just didn’t...
Read moreLet me start by saying that the tacos are good, not the best I've had, but good. Just the ethics is what I am little disappointed with. They have their menu to be scanned with the QR code and our phones were not picking up signal. Conveniently they dont have any printed menus. The server sugested the lobster tacos and we also got a king taco and quesadillas. When it was time to pay, the lobster tacos were almost $40usdll He didn't give us the price and we didnt ask for the price either, but I do think is wrong to do this. Imagine if we were there on a budget there's lots of families that go like that. I was not happy to pay $40 for 2 tacos at all but well I took my share of the fault! Just be careful because lots of businesses they do see tourist as ATM's or whatever and it doesn't feel good to be looked at like how much money I am goint to be able to...
