The house is NOT worth the $400/night prive tag. It’s very old and poorly maintained, and deeply in need of upgrades. It is a labor of love, but the owner clearly hasn’t given it much love in recent years. The cracked windows seem to have just been reinforced rather than replaced, the sliding doors are coated in rust, and the pool is dirty and the area around it is covered in iguana poo. my best friend & i stood in the beautiful seashell house for 3 days/2 nights & everything about it was impeccable. the host was super sweet & extremely helpful. the rooms were well kept, everything was clean & the pool was amazing. the house itself is just to die for. the bathrooms were so unique, the bedrooms were so simple but stunning & the air conditioner was very cold. perfect for the heat of Isla Mujeres. the architecture, the scenery, the iguana that just hangs out by the pool, it truly is an experience worth every penny. we loved the house, the island & most of all, the people. we 10/10, highly recommend staying at the famous...
