I've been to this place a few times now and, everytime I return, things just keep getting better.

To start, the staff are all amazing. (They certainly could teach the Canadian service industry how to properly interact with and support their customers.)

The food was pretty good for the first couple of times I went there but today, everything about the meal and visit was superior. I was absolutely impressed that the salsa was made fresh at my table. It was so delicious. I then ordered the poppers appetizer with a burrito. Out came my poppers first and I gave them a while to cool before biting into the first one. OMG... So juicy and cheesy! I have never eaten poppers this good in my entire life. Once my appetizer was done, the waiter brought out my burrito. That thing was solid as it was jam packed with meat, vegetables and cheese.

Brando’s Bar is truly one of the most underrated spots in Puerto Vallarta’s marina (north end). The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious, making it the perfect place to relax whether you’re a local or a tourist. The bartender is seriously talented—crafting unique cocktails with house-infused tequilas and creative ingredients that you won’t find anywhere else.

What really sets this place apart is the staff. They’re incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely make you feel like you’re part of the family. It’s refreshing to find a bar where you don’t feel like you’re being taken advantage of as a tourist. It just feels… right.

Highly recommend stopping by Brando’s if you want great drinks, good vibes, and a place that feels like home...

Beware of the manager attempting to change your bill after you’ve ordered.

The managers tried to double the price of a couple of our meals and we called them out for their deception! Even our server tried to come to our defense because the managers were so blatantly trying to take advantage of us.

The female manager was rude and tried to say that we should have known the difference between various grams of weight for fish?!! The menu doesn’t say the meal is based on “market price” — her argument was ridiculous and she knew it.

In the end, we made them change the price to what was written on the menu. The red snapper was actually good, but I would never go back since this place is dishonest.

People can be very generous. There is no need to try to cheat and take advantage of...
