Warning: sorry for the long post!
BUT, If you ever find yourself in Puerto Vallarta, Casa Guadalajara is the place to be. I ate dinner here twice and had breakfast here 3 times. Let me start with the atmosphere, everyone is welcoming, sweet and attentive. The place is beautifully decorated with your traditional Mexican touches, It’s full of color! The people are great, they know their menu and what each dish consists of, so when I had questions they throughly answered. Now let’s get to the nitty gritty…. The food! I don’t even know where to begin! The flavor BURSTS in your mouth. Every single dish that I ordered; I swear, kept getting better and better!! My husband ordered the same Birria De Res (which is a soup) twice, even though he was sweating at the end of it. I had the chilaquiles de arranchera twice and the arranchera encebollada from their breakfast menu. For dinner I had a special parillada, coconut shrimp (these things were huge and the batter must be made from magic, I had never had anything like it), my husband had mixed fajitas.. the meat is melt in your mouth tender and the tortillas are fresh! They also had a great variety of dessert, we ordered tres leches, which was perfectly moist and a fried plantain dessert that came with a side of ice cream. The bonus, the had live mariachi EVERY NIGHT from 7-10pm!!! Oh almost forgot how great the drinks were!! When I go back to PV, I will be going back to Casa...
Read moreWe walked past this place on our way to Costco then checked out the reviews which were great. Talking with people by the pool, they had been the night before and said it was excellent so we went for dinner last night. Everything was so so good! The service was attentive but not overbearing. We shared a Caesar salad and it was definitely one of the best we’ve eaten. I had the peanut shrimp which was totally different than anything I’d had before and absolutely delicious. My husband had the surf and turf burrito, also fantastic. We left before the mariachi band started but heard great things about them. It’s more of a show rather than them walking around the restaurant from what we’ve heard. The prices were very reasonable as well. We will definitely be stopping in again a couple more times before we leave PV to try a few more dishes and next time we’ll go a bit later so we can catch the band. A great addition to the...
Read moreCasa Guadalajara is truly the most authentic Mexican restaurant experience available in Puerto Vallarta. The food is impeccable prepared with only fresh ingredients. The complementary salsa is immediately served along with a complimentary taco el pastor sample. The authentic margaritas are the freshest and prepared with top shelf liquors. Enjoy live traditional Mexican music throughout your evening including the famous Joya de México mariachis - 12 members in total. It not the type that works table by table for tips. It’s a live performance. The entire evening is a spectacular experience in cuisine, service and entertainment. My compliments to the owners for creating this beautiful dining...
