Just walking by....they have shady outdoor seating and ceiling fans as well as ocean breezes, so on a whim I looked at the menu and decided to give it a try. There is a plexiglassed area facing the street with the grill. I didn't find wine on the menu, but they have cocktails, beer and a good-sized craft beer list. Long list of appetizers and various dishes like tacos, stuffed baked potatoes, burgers and pots of melted cheese. Prices were reasonable. The menu is in English and Spanish. When I sat down the server brought 2 warm, crunchy corn tortillas, 4 sauces, 3 hot and one mild avocado one plus chopped onion, lime cilantro and radishes, I think. I ordered Parrillo, which is grilled meat you pick. I like arracharra, which is always grilled (or bbq'd) and came with 4 Mexican green onions. We ordered an arrachera plate (sonora house special). The arrachera comes accompanied with a small piece of chorizo, beans, grilled onions, and a stuffed chile with cheese. It was ok. However, the arrachera is not the best regarding taste and consistency. It was also a little chewy... not as a good, very tender, and juicy arrachera should be.
The tortillas are homemade, which is great. However, they are pretty thick, almost like a thinner sope. Thinner tortillas would have been better.
In general, it was ok...
Read moreReally great. Love that you can pick and choose items rather than having 4 tacos the same or similar. Menu gives a great range of street food but offers restaurant setting. You are given dips and salsas to start which you can add to tacos, volcanos, canoes etc. I chose 3 tacos 1 x shrimp, 1 x sirloin, 1 x chorizo which was perfect for heat with a frosty Corona! You have option to keep building on your order to avoid wastage. Really delicious. Staff are bilingual and let you practise your Spanish even if you are as...
