Such a warm inviting place with amazing food! I was recently in Burgundy, France and much of the food is very similar which is hard to find in Puerto Vallarta. There is so much great food in Puerto Vallarta, but you will have a hard time finding French food like this. The escargot is amazing! Served perfectly the way I like it in France minus the shells. I wish I ordered more! The French onion soup was perfectly flavored and of course is a favorite of anyone who loves French food. The boef bourginon was excellent. Great cuts of beef, well spiced and marinated. We got a special as well. The sausage with Dijon mustard, fries and salad. Who could complain? I was so excited to dig in I burned my tongue. And then kept on burning it. Haha The service was amazing. The owner knows many languages and is from the south of France bringing authenticity to the food here in Puerto Vallarta. The environment was very cozy and had great French music. Everyone was friendly and it is obvious they have many return customers. As someone who lives here, I'm happy to have found this gem. I highly recommend this place and I will be going back many times.

The atmosphere is quite lovely with a vintage French vibe, indoor and outdoor patios. I ordered the escargot, very tasty but came without the snail shells. Ordered the Moulles Frites, lots of mussels, tasty but the fries were small and seemed like they had been sitting under a heat lamp a while. I ordered a 7-Up soda. With a tip, $38 USD. Found it very pricey. Table service a bit off, waitress wanting to take my bread basket away several times, plastic 7-up bottle and glass of ice on the table (a bit off for a bit of an upscaled bistro?), when we asked for the check, waitress hubered over us. Had to ask her to please give us a few minutes. The owner is lively and came out to chat with us. Overall, don't think I'll return. Beautiful as the place is, the value/price is not in line.

Even during restaurant week this place was far from worth it. Two restaurant week meals and two waters - $88USD and we left hungry and disappointed. We ordered house water to which they refused. Okay, fine. We had a sparkling water (regular Mexican brand) each instead. $70 PESOS EACH! More than beer at most places! Salad and French onion soup were both just okay but they also changed the portion size on the soup for restaurant week to be smaller than what’s seen in other review photos. Skirt stake was the smallest cut of beef we’ve had in PV. Included was some fries and salad with no dressing. Presentation was very poor. Desert was the best part but by no means made up for all the shortcoming. We definitely won’t come back or recommend to others. Terribly poor value.

I give it 2 stars for atmosphere. We really wanted to like it. I SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWED MY OWN ADVICE WHEN IN MEXICO EAT MEXICAN FOOD. We had just had an amazing trip in France And we knew that the food here was not going to be as good as in France, but wow What a disappointment. The good The atmosphere feels like a petit bistro ( very charming) Bread was good, Brie cheese was really good and then it went downhill really fast from there. Escargots were good but quality of the snails not much, I had the mules ( mussels) with creamy sauce , I ate 4 of them, the white sauce was not tasty at all the mussels were not fresh, I tried my friend’s poulet cordon blue. It had the same tasteless white sauce as my muscles and the chicken was dried. Then I tried my other friends pasta Carbonara ( Italian) mediocre.

Im not sure where this owner thinks French food tastes like ( my friend this is not good quality FRENCH food)...

2 visits in the past month and 2 very different experiences. On new years eve we had an amazing meal which was 10/10. The only issue that night was one of the waitresses was not getting things right. Tonight it just wasn't as good. I ordered the same salad as before and although it was nice there was some weird yellow sauce on it which didn't really go. The steaks were oddly cooked...more braised tasting. My fillet was still tasty but my partner did not like his at all. Not only was the texture weird but it also had a really funny taste! The same waitress was there and seemed as confused as before. My partners dessert was good...so mixed experience for sure. There were a few people complaining tonight and some recent bad reviews. We will definitely not be returning for a while until things have improved. The new venue is lovely...hope they can sort out the kinks asap as its a shame as we know they can...
