It was our last night in town and we ordered the following dishes: the elote, birria tacos, birria ramen, shrimp poboy style sandwich, and birria sandwich. Every single dish tasted bland, flavorless, and overcooked. The shrimp was chewy and hard. The birria lacked flavor but had an abundance of chewiness with every bite. Everything tasted like it had previously been frozen, or cooked straight from a can or a jar.
While we were eating, at exactly 7 PM the employees started hurriedly lifting up all the tables and chairs. Some of the employees gave us dirty looks as the clock hit 7:05 PM. During this rush, we were trying to finish our food as quickly as possible. One of the employees went as far as to cough as dramatically as possible while glaring in our direction- picture someone pretending to hack up half a lung.
At 7:08 PM we exited the restaurant as quickly as we could. The presentation of the food was beautiful, but every single dish we ate lacked flavor and freshness. Very disappointing considering this was our last meal in Guadalajara. We had way better food at a hole in the wall place earlier on our trip.
My boyfriend threw up 20 minutes after we finished our meal here. As we finished eating his stomach started rumbling and...
Read moreThe sitting 🪑 is a little disorganized and they take a while, other than that the food is good. I recommend the zarandeado shrimp and fish. I gave this place a second chance. It’s the same it takes a while to get a seat, one you finally get seated they take forever to take your order, they forget your drinks and had to ask twice (again), when the food finally arrived they were missing utensils and had to ask two waiters. After this long process I had to wait for the bill and that was another headache. The food is still good but you have to be very patient...
