Tarantinos Pizza — Restaurant in Jalisco

Tanatino's We have ordered and had pizza in-house at Tarantino's a few times since being in the Versailles area. The pizza is good, but not fantastic. They do have some quality ingredients, the pepperoni is good and they are fairly generous with it on a pepperoni pizza, however, on the "Roma" (kinda like an all dressed back home) they add a sausage which looks and tases like cut up hot-dog wieners and the ham they add to that one is more like mystery meat. Found that one VERY disappointing. If you are from Canada suggest you stick with the pepperoni and add mushrooms (which hey charge extra for) for a better pizza. We tried their pasta when we ate at the restaurant, the spaghetti boulgnaise was just kind of okay and came with a salad smothered in mayonaise. Not worth the cost. My wife had Spaghetti Carbonara, which was also very disappointing. Not much flavor to it and I know I could make one at least 3 times better. What a wonderful experience we had this evening. The decor and atmosphere is super inviting. Our server Andrea was extremely pleasant. We had the ham and pineapple pizza to start and it was better than I expected. I don’t have high expectations when it comes to pizza in Mexico but this one was actually surprisingly really good. Then we had the chicken Parmesan and it was amazing. Huge generous portions cooked perfectly and priced incredibly well. Really blown away by this place. You'll see quite a lot of happy families dining here, mainly due to the quality of service, the ambiance, and the excellent seating/design. Also offers terrific value for money, especially when you take portion sizes into account.

It's probably not Tier 1 in terms of the food, but there was nothing I could complain about with the lasagne. Filling and tasty. Will be going back here again, probably to try the pizza. I've been to a lot of Italian restaurants in the area (Florios, Barrio Bistro, Tosco) and like the atmosphere here in Tarantinos.
