The gusto lounge — Restaurant in Jalisco

I might be a bit biased since I'm from Kansas City but we had great time. Total dive bar, and run by an ex-pat from KC so there's Chiefs and Royals stuff everywhere. He's made sure to have a good selection of beer and liquor. The wings are amazing and the pizza downstairs is good (they have vegan cheese which is good for my fiancé's lactose intolerance). It's only a couple blocks from the beach and easy walking distance the boardwalk. It's a tropical location so one side of the bar is open air, but that wasn't a problem. You'll run into every walk of life. Live music, drag shows on special occasions, lots of of people from the US, ran into a couple from Europe, plenty of locals. We went to hear Rob Lord play on a Friday night. Great service. Cool, upstairs open air bar. The drinks are small but good mango margaritas. Great location and great people. I will say the cheese sticks tasted like they had freezer burn. We didn't even finish ours. I don't know if the other food taste better or not but I don't recommend the cheese sticks. I have to say that the staff are absolutely amazing so friendly, polite, and hospitable always checking are you ok, and welcome you in each time.
